Andy Cohen Breaks Silence on RHOP Star Wendy Osefo’s Arrest

Andy Cohen is no longer pleading the fifth when it comes to Dr. Wendy Osefo‘s shocking arrest.

Following the arrest of Real Housewives of Potomac star and her husband, Eddie Osefo, on October 9th in Westminster, Maryland, for several fraud-related felonies, Andy spoke about the situation with his fellow Bravo personalities.

I learned about the charges against Wendy and Eddie Osefo on Friday morning, just like everyone else, and I don’t have any additional information to share,” Andy Cohen said on his SiriusXM radio show, *Andy Cohen Live*, on October 13th. “I only know what’s been reported in the media.

Andy expressed his sadness, saying, “I’m a big fan of Wendy, and I’ve always admired her as both a Housewife and a positive influence.”

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always admired Wendy! She’s a wonderful mother to Karter, Kruz, and Kamrynn – her kids with Eddie – and consistently prioritizes their education and instills strong family values. I’m sending her and her whole family my best wishes right now.

Wendy and Eddie, both 41, were recently indicted by a Maryland grand jury on several fraud charges. Wendy, a former professor, faces seven felony counts, while her husband faces nine. They were also each charged with eight misdemeanors related to conspiracy and fraud, as well as one count of lying to a police officer, according to TopMob News.

According to a statement released on October 10th by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the charges stem from an incident in April 2024 where the Osefos reportedly falsely claimed their home had been burglarized and items stolen.

Following their release on a $50,000 bond and return home in the early morning of October 10th, a spokesperson for Wendy and Eddie publicly spoke about the legal issue for the first time.

Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward, are home safe with their family and doing well, according to a statement released on October 10th. They appreciate all the support and concern they’ve received from friends, fans, and coworkers.

The Osefo family stated they are eager to present their case in court and have asked for privacy while they focus on their family and legal proceedings.

The pair are due back in court in November, online court records show.

You can watch *The Real Housewives of Potomac* on Bravo every Sunday at 8 p.m. While you wait, check out TopMob’s ranking of all the Real Housewives to see where Wendy stands!

Bravo’s reality show about Washington D.C. featured four women—Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, and Stacie Scott Turner—who didn’t exactly make a lasting impression. And then there was one woman who was so eager for attention that she actually crashed a party at the White House. We’ll tell you about her in a moment.

Who?

Vaguely familiar, but…

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

The newest cast member on *The Real Housewives of Utah* had a dramatic and short-lived run on the show. In January 2022, Jennie was let go after old, offensive Facebook posts with racially insensitive content came to light. She later issued an apology, but the show had already decided to remove her from the cast.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

Dr. Jen wasn’t known for causing trouble during season 16, and her short-lived marital issues with her husband, Ryne, weren’t very exciting. But we’ll always remember her getting visibly intoxicated at the Dubrows’ dinner party – it was a strangely awkward but incredibly fun event to watch.

The nurse anesthetist’s show had a disastrous first season, and it’s best remembered by one embarrassing incident – a situation everyone hopes to forget.

Katie frequently discussed her charitable efforts, but didn’t offer much else when filming. She made brief appearances and didn’t really engage with the other cast members. Plus, leaving the cast trip early is a major breach of etiquette in the world of reality TV.

Charrisse is mostly remembered for her highly publicized marital issues during her two seasons on the show, and her famously lavish champagne room.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

Although it was refreshing to see some diversity on *The Real Housewives of Orange County*, Peggy ended up being a difficult cast member in season 12. Her arguments were strange, frequently stemming from misunderstandings of simple words, and her decision to isolate herself during the Iceland trip showed she wasn’t suited for the show’s lifestyle.

Nneka’s first season on the show focused on a dramatic and unbelievable accusation: she claimed Wendy Osefo’s mother was a witch. It was disappointing to see this become her main storyline, as it would have been much better to see her connect with Wendy over their Nigerian heritage instead of engaging in unresolved conflict.

Noella brought a whirlwind of energy to season 16. Although viewers sympathized with her personal difficulties – her husband, James, unexpectedly filed for divorce just before filming began – it was her ongoing conflict with Heather Dubrow that kept her from being the least popular cast member. Perhaps with more time and another season, audiences will connect with Noella.

She went from being a calm presence in her first season to facing accusations of anti-Semitism and complaining about a cake in her second—and final—season. It’s hard to think of a faster decline for a cast member on *The Real Housewives*.

It seemed like Amber and her husband, Jim, were acting out of desperation. And Jim, in particular, appeared much more caught up in the drama than she was, which didn’t look good for either of them.

From what we recall, Karent was a dentist, and her colleagues didn’t appear to get along with her. Moving on!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

Jules was only on *RHONY* for one season, so it’s hard to place her higher on a ranking, but she definitely brought the drama during her time on the show.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina was a successful and well-rounded Arab woman who skillfully combined modern living with her cultural heritage. She generally stayed out of the season’s conflicts and, at times, didn’t get as much attention as her more outgoing co-stars.

Taleen joined the second season of *RHODubai* and made a positive impression, but it’s hard to fully evaluate her after just one season on the show.

Though known from *America’s Next Top Model*, she didn’t make a significant impact on *The Real Housewives of Atlanta* beyond being pregnant throughout most of her time on the show. However, her unforgettable confrontation with Marlo Hampton while in Tokyo was a highlight.

Generally, new Housewives need to be on the show for a few seasons before we consider ranking them highly. However, Katie made a huge impact right away during her first season of RHOC, immediately challenging veteran cast member Heather Dubrow. It’s not easy to call out someone like Heather!

To be frank, Stephanie wasn’t a favorite of ours. Although she had the potential to be a compelling Housewife thanks to her wealth, we didn’t appreciate how she used her private jet to try and control the other women on the show during season seven. It just left a bad impression.

Maybe Steph can redeem herself if she returns for season eight.

Sara had a consistently cheerful and optimistic attitude, which made her a joy to be around, though things were rarely exciting with her (except for the memorable occasion when she gave her co-star, Caroline Brooks, some unsolicited parenting advice!). More importantly, she challenged common assumptions about modern Muslim women in the Middle East, and we admire her for doing so.

The new cast members on season 13 of *RHONJ* quickly fell into familiar patterns of Garden State housewife drama, getting caught up in a season-long argument that even Andy Cohen admitted was trivial. Sadly, their second season didn’t offer much more depth or substance.

Larsa Pippen didn’t stand out much during her initial appearance on the show. When The Real Housewives of Miami returned in 2021, a major focus of her story was her past friendship with Kim Kardashian, as well as her side hustle selling photos of her feet online.

After appearing on Bravo TV for one season, Ana tried out for season 12 of *Next Food Network Star* in 2016, but she wasn’t selected as a finalist.
