Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt’s Daughter Zahara Graduates From College

Zahara Jolie got her diploma.

Zahara Jolie-Pitt, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 17th with a degree in psychology.

Zahara received her diploma on stage, and was introduced as Zahara Marley Jolie. This suggests she has removed her father’s last name, based on videos posted online.

Before Zahara’s special celebration, she was joined by Angelina and her other children – Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, and 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – for a mother-daughter brunch. During the brunch, Zahara shared how strong her relationship is with her mother.

“It was difficult to express how I feel,” she shared during a speech at the Pearls of Purpose Foundation Scholarship Mother Daughter Luncheon on April 26, as seen in a social media video. “It wasn’t because I don’t appreciate my mom, but because we have a very special and close connection that’s hard to describe.”

The college student, referencing her adoption in 2005 – when Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt adopted her during a trip to Ethiopia – described the love she shares with her mother as something they ‘found’ together.

Zahara shared that she was adopted as a baby and gained incredibly loving siblings. She also described her mother as someone who instilled in them the importance of kindness, helping others, and continuous personal growth.

The college student said they were thankful to have someone who showed them how to be a good person.

Zahara also related to the challenges of growing up with famous parents and constantly being in the public eye.

It’s hard to have private moments when you live such a public life, with so much attention from others,” she said. “But my mom has always been interested in everything I’m learning, both at Spelman College and beyond.

Zahara also emphasized her Angelina’s impact on her values and sense of self.

She described the actress, known for her role in Salt, as an incredibly selfless, loving, and understanding mother. Reflecting on a quote she once read – ‘I am a strong woman because a strong woman raised me’ – she expressed her gratitude, saying, ‘Thank you, Mom.’
