With the recent major update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the release of the upgraded Switch version, fans are diving back into the game. But if you’re looking for another relaxing experience, there’s a new cozy game you might enjoy! If you love the charming animals and laid-back pace of Animal Crossing, Cozy Caravan could be perfect for a break from Tom Nook and island life.
Cozy Caravan first launched on PC in Early Access in 2024. It recently received its full 1.0 release on Steam and Apple Arcade, and is now available on Nintendo Switch – the perfect console for relaxing games! It’s also playable on the new Switch 2 thanks to backwards compatibility. If you enjoy charming 3D graphics and a laid-back gaming experience, you’ll definitely want to check this one out.
Cozy Caravan Lets You Be a Cute Animal, Too

The characters in Animal Crossing are beloved for their charming animal-like appearances. It’s funny that we play as humans in a world full of cute critters! If you’ve ever wished you could be an Animal Crossing villager, you’ll love Cozy Caravan. This game lets you create and customize your own animal avatar. You can choose from lots of different animals like cows, pigs, deer, and badgers, and even pick out their colors, markings, and outfits!
After you create your character, you’ll find yourself in a charming village filled with animal neighbors. Similar to Animal Crossing, the game focuses on building relationships with those around you. However, instead of earning money, you’ll gain favor by helping other animals and selling items at weekly markets. If you’re looking for a relaxing game without financial pressures, this offers a refreshing experience.
Even though it had some initial issues when it first launched, Cozy Caravan is genuinely one of the most heartwarming games I’ve played lately. The developers have fixed the problems and added new content, making the full version a great choice when you want a relaxing gaming experience. It’s deliberately slow-paced – not quite like Animal Crossing, but it still encourages you to enjoy the process. Cozy Caravan is all about savoring the adventure.
Cooking, Collecting, & Marketplace Management Combine to Make Cozy Caravan A Unique Entry in Cozy Gaming

I’ve always enjoyed farming, life, and management simulation games, but Cozy Caravan is something truly special. It combines different gameplay elements in a way that feels fresh and unique. I’ve been playing it on PC since it was in early development, and I always knew it would be perfect for the Nintendo Switch. Now that it’s finally here, I’m starting a new game and remembering exactly why I love it so much.
Cozy Caravan is a unique game that doesn’t fit neatly into any one category. While you’ll assist local farmers with their harvests and sell goods at a market, it’s more than just a farming or store management simulator. The core of the game is about building relationships and supporting a community as you travel the gorgeous 3D world in your bee-powered caravan. If you’re looking for a cozy game that feels different and offers something new, Cozy Caravan is a welcome change of pace.
One of the great things about Cozy Caravan is its price! Compared to other popular cozy games like Pokemon Pokopia ($70) and a new copy of Animal Crossing ($65), Cozy Caravan is much more affordable at just $20 – and even cheaper during its launch sale. I’m always happy to find a budget-friendly option for Switch games.
