Apple TV‘s polarizing, eight-episode mystery crime series has become an instant streaming hit.
The new drama, Imperfect Women, has quickly become a hit on the streaming service, even though critics are divided about it. When a woman is murdered, the friendship between Mary (Elisabeth Moss), Eleanor (Kerry Washington), and Nancy (Kate Mara) is put to the test as the investigation reveals shocking secrets.
According to FlixPatrol, the new Apple TV+ thriller Imperfect Women is already a success. Just one day after its release on March 19, 2026, it’s ranked as the third most popular show worldwide. It even reached the number one spot in eight countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Botswana, Namibia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Swaziland, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
I’m so excited to see this show doing so well – it’s a top hit in a bunch of places! It’s currently number two in the US, Canada, and the UK, which is amazing. A big part of its appeal, for me, is definitely the lead actors. It’s great to see Natalie Moss back on TV after The Handmaid’s Tale, and it’s also been a while since Kerri Washington’s show Unprisoned ended last year, so it’s awesome to have them both in this!
Despite its popularity with viewers, Imperfect Women has received mixed reviews from critics. As of today, the show has a 53% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 19 reviews. While some critics appreciate the show’s complex and unusual storyline, others feel it’s too sensationalized and lacks appeal.
Currently, only the first two episodes of the series are available on Apple TV. Despite this limited release, the show has quickly gained a global following, captivating viewers with its intriguing mystery and recognizable actors. The cast also features Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Wilson Bethel, Keith Carradine, Sandrine Holt, and Leslie Odom Jr.
Although critics are divided, the show seems to be finding an audience. Some people will really enjoy it, while others might not connect with the central murder mystery. Despite the mixed reviews, it’s currently proving to be a success.
With only six episodes remaining, Imperfect Women is likely to stay popular on Apple TV for a while. Even though it’s competing with the very popular Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the show offers a nice contrast with its realistic story full of surprising twists, murder, and secrets.
New episodes of Imperfect Women air Wednesdays on Apple TV.
