Apple TV is known for its award-winning shows, and its latest hit is no exception. The streaming service understands how to build on its success.
Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and a producer on The X-Files, has another success on his hands with Pluribus. The show has received excellent reviews and become a record-breaker for Apple TV. Due to its popularity, Apple TV has announced that episode 5 will now premiere on Wednesday, November 26th, instead of the originally scheduled Friday, November 28th.
Hi Carol, just letting you know we’ll be arriving a bit sooner than usual this week. We’re excited to see you on Wednesday!
The show normally comes out on Fridays, but because it’s Thanksgiving week, Apple TV probably wants to make the most of the holiday and encourage families to watch together. The last episode left viewers with a lot of unanswered questions, and we’ll get some resolutions much quicker this time around.
Apple TV recently announced a Black Friday offer for both new and existing customers. For a limited time, until December 1st, you can get an ad-free subscription for just $5.99 a month for six months – that’s half the usual price.
Here’s a fantastic offer: you can get HBO Max Basic with ads for just $2.99 a month – that’s 70% off the regular price of $10.99 – for a whole year! But hurry, this deal ends on December 1st.
Pluribus Has Been a Major Success
With only four episodes left, Season 1 of the nine-part series is nearing its end. Episode 5, titled “Got Milk,” will be released on November 26th, and the show will continue with its regular weekly schedule until the season concludes on December 26th.
Pluribus quickly became a hit with both critics and audiences. It launched with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and currently holds a 99% approval rating. Viewers gave it a strong 78% rating on the Popcornmeter.
Okay, so I’ve been tracking the numbers, and this new show absolutely crushed it on Apple TV! It actually became the most-watched show in its first week, even beating out the highly anticipated Severance Season 2. We’re talking 6.4 million hours viewed in just seven days – that’s huge, according to Luminate. And the best part? It’s still holding strong at the top of the charts!
There’s an interesting development happening with streaming releases. The popular Netflix show will be back for Season 3 on November 26th at 5 p.m. Eastern Time, and a new release called Pluribus will be available earlier that same day. The finale of Pluribus on December 26th will be up against the return of the Netflix show with Season 5, Volume 2, which premieres on December 25th.
Pluribus returns on Apple TV on Wednesday.
