To succeed in the world of ARC Raiders, you’ll need effective character builds, strong equipment setups, and a good understanding of what valuable items to collect.
This game has a lot going on, which can feel overwhelming at first. You’ll need to learn various skills, master a wide range of weapons, and sort through tons of collected items.
In this guide, we’ll give you our recommendations to help you get only the best of the best.
BEST Builds, Loadouts & Items Guide | ARC Raiders
Skill Tree Build
We suggest using the Skill Tree shown in the image. This build gives you a good mix of Skills from all categories, making it powerful for long-term play and helping you discover which areas you enjoy focusing on.
The best way to acquire the Skills for this build will vary depending on your personal preferences and how you like to play. Ultimately, you should customize it to fit your own playstyle.
We highly suggest unlocking In-round Crafting in the Survival mode as quickly as you can. It only takes level 3 to get, and it can be incredibly helpful for getting the supplies you need while you’re being raided.
Next, we suggest prioritizing Mobility until you fully upgrade Youthful Lungs. After that, choose Skills in the order you prefer, keeping the Skill Tree guide in mind.
Loadouts
There are many weapons to choose from when creating your loadout. But since you only select two at a time, it’s actually pretty easy to put together a good combination!
We generally suggest using a mix of weapons that work well in all situations. Don’t limit yourself to weapons that are only effective against computer-controlled enemies (PvE) or other players (PvP). Being prepared for both is key.
The most effective weapons will change as you play and depend on the items you find.
Now, with that in mind, here’s our recommended general progression of loadouts:
- Early Game – Stitcher I + Ferro I
- Early-Mid Game – Rattler I/II or Arpeggio I/II + Ferro I/II or Anvil I/II
- Mid Game – Anvil III/IV with Compensator attachment + Tempest I
- Late Game – Anvil IV with all attachments + Tempest I/II
The main thing to keep in mind as you progress here is to make sure you keep upgrading your weapons.
Don’t overlook weapon attachments – they become more useful as you progress, so start using them early. We’ve only covered the essential attachments here, but we suggest equipping them on all your weapons whenever you can.
Items and Loot
When you’re collecting items and loot, it’s best to grab absolutely everything you can get your hands on!
Almost everything you find in the game serves a purpose. Even common, basic materials like Metal Parts are used throughout the game for upgrades and crafting.
That said, there are some key ones you should make sure to look out for. They are as follows:
- Lemons
- Apricots
- Prickly Pears
- Olives
- Mushrooms
- Dog Collar
- Torn Blanket
- Cat Bed
- Very Comfortable Pillow
- Assorted Seeds
- Mechanical Components
- Speaker Component
- Metal, Plastic, and Rubber Parts
- Power Cables
- Chemicals
