Players have been frustrated with the recent schedule for the game ARC Raiders. Many haven’t been able to experience the new Bird City map because of commitments outside the game. To make matters worse, the map schedule had some technical problems that temporarily removed it from rotation. These issues are now fixed, and the developers are increasing how often the Bird City map appears.
As PCGamer reported, Ossen, a community manager at Embark Studios, shared details on the game’s map rotation schedule and future plans on the official Discord server.
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know about a little hiccup with the map schedule last night. We’ve pushed out a quick update that gets this week’s schedule running, and we’re giving Bird City a bit more love by making it appear more often. You don’t need to download anything, but please restart your game so the changes take effect. We’re still working on getting a schedule that works for everyone, no matter where you are in the world, so you all get a fair chance to play!
The updated schedule still creates problems for players in certain time zones who have work or other commitments during those hours. That said, the events are happening much more often now, making it simpler for players to join the new map challenges.
The latest update to ARC Raiders brought Bird City to the game and a new way to handle cheaters. The system uses a three-strikes policy: the first offense results in a 30-day ban, the second in a 60-day ban, and a third offense leads to a permanent ban.
The map now features flocks of birds flying into Buried City and nesting in the chimneys. Players can search these nests for extra loot. Along with the birds, Bird City also adds new bird traps and ziplines across the map.
A new update for ARC Raiders introduces a tough challenge for solo players who’ve reached level 40 or higher. They can now choose to face off against teams of other players in a special Solo vs Squad matchmaking mode. Even if they don’t win, players who choose this mode will receive a 20 percent XP boost.
Embark Studios recently shared its plans for new content in ARC Raiders, extending through April 2026. Over the first four months of the year, the game will receive updates including dynamic map conditions, player-created projects, new enemy threats (ARCs), map improvements, entirely new maps, and a major ARC event. The ‘Flashpoint’ update coming in March will also include changes to your companion, Scrappy.
VirgiL Watkins, the design lead for ARC Raiders, has mentioned the team is planning to add several new maps to the game throughout the year. He explained that these maps will vary in size to offer different gameplay experiences, ranging from smaller areas to levels even larger than those currently available.
ARC Raiders is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
