Collaborating with Bandai Namco, Hamster Corporation has declared the release of “Arcade Archives 2 Mach Breakers” for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and an upcoming Switch version 2, along with “Arcade Archives Mach Breakers” for PlayStation 4 and current Switch. The price for the former will be set at $16.99, while the latter will retail for $14.99. Players who initially purchase the PlayStation 4 or Switch versions have the option to upgrade to their respective next-gen versions (PS5 or Switch 2) for only $2.99. The launch date is scheduled for September 4.
Here is an overview of the game, via Hamster Corporation:
Back in 1995, I was captivated by the electrifying sports game titled “Mach Breakers,” which graced us courtesy of the visionary developers at Namco Limited, now known as Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.
The epic sports saga unfolds further with the new edition of Numan Athletics! This time around, we’ve got seven remarkable athletes and a dozen different competitions to keep things thrilling. The excitement has been cranked up another notch!
Break the sound barrier and shatter expectations!
In the latest installment of the “Arcade Archives 2” series, a fresh addition called “Time Attack Mode” has been incorporated. Unlike earlier versions of the “Arcade Archives” series, this mode emphasizes speed rather than the points you earn while playing the game.
The Arcade Archives collection accurately re-creates timeless arcade game classics, preserving their authenticity.
In an enhanced version, you’ll discover a plethora of user-friendly additions that elevate the experience of revisiting these timeless games. Features like adjustable difficulty levels, customizable button layouts, quick-fire settings, the option to save multiple game states at any given moment, and even a feature to rewind your last action, are among them.
Certain titles provide unique settings reminiscent of old-school CRT televisions, capturing that cherished vintage ambiance.
Furthermore, both Hi Score Mode and Caravan Mode allow you to challenge players worldwide by accessing Global Leaderboards online.
In the Arcade Archives 2 collection, select games introduce fresh play modes or Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology to better recreate the authentic arcade gaming experience.
Please enjoy these iconic arcade games that defined an era!
