On Tuesday, Snail Games unveiled a substantial expansion pack for the Steam version of “Ark: Survival Evolved,” entitled “Ark: Aquatica.” Marketed as a commemorative 10-year anniversary add-on for the game, this latest update brings forth a wealth of new features such as fresh biomes, creatures, crafting recipes (engrams), and enhanced underwater playability.
Yet, Ark gamers are voicing their discontent following reports that the update led to numerous problems, such as breaking mods that players have spent considerable time developing. This update also resulted in a substantial decrease in simultaneous player numbers, one of the largest drops in recent years. The Ark team provided an option for players to restore their Ark: Survival Evolved game client to its condition prior to the Aquatica update, assuring that modifications improvements will appear in the near future.
To resolve any problems with the recent update or DLC for “Ark: Survival Evolved”, players will have to access their Steam library and right-click on the game. Then, they need to click on properties and select the “Betas” option. In the Beta participation section, there should be an option for them to choose “preaquatica”.
Players were instructed to share any issues they encountered by posting on both the Aquatica Discord channel and the Bug Reports forum. At the same time, they were reminded of the discount available for the new DLC upon its release.

Players of the game Critical Ark: Survival Evolved, who are intensely loyal to this particular version, express strong disapproval towards the developers’ interference as another Ark game is being developed simultaneously.
