Sonic the Hedgehog 4 — as in the movie, not the game — has officially kicked off filming.
The news was shared by director Jeff Fowler, who has been at the helm of all four films.
Here he is, shown with Amy Rose’s famous hammer resting on his shoulder. Amy is expected to officially appear in the next movie, which comes out around March 2027.
The role has been filled – Kristen Bell will be voicing the character.
But that’s not all the casting news – a recent report claims they’ve found another actor to join the movie.
Movie reporter Jeff Sneider reported in The InSneider that Sir Ben Kingsley will appear in Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
Although his character hasn’t been revealed, the report states the well-known actor will have a significant part in the movie.
The movie is still about a year away, so we’ll likely see trailers and learn more details soon. Are you looking forward to the fourth Sonic movie? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
