Ubisoft has announced a new game is coming out this year, and speculation is growing that it’s a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Reports suggest the remake will streamline the experience by removing the modern-day story sections and loading screens, while also adding content that was originally cut from the first release.
The game might also borrow some of the beautiful weather effects from Assassin’s Creed Shadows, according to YouTuber j0nathan (as reported by Access the Animus on Twitter). J0nathan also says the menus have been updated and the map is better – it’s supposedly more detailed and has more things to do, which lines up with earlier reports about new quests. However, the map’s overall size will remain the same.
Ubisoft hasn’t yet announced the game, but we might see it revealed at The Game Awards on December 11th, 2025. Plus, with the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake expected around mid-January, that game could also be featured. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
More rumors are circulating about the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake! Here’s what’s being suggested: weather effects similar to those in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, seamless gameplay with no loading screens, updated menus, and a more detailed map with increased activities. Remember to take these rumors with a grain of salt.
