Okay, so it’s looking like Ubisoft is finally going to show off the remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag! We’ve been hearing whispers about this for years, and honestly, I was starting to think it wouldn’t happen. There was talk of it coming out this year, but apparently, some stuff going on at Ubisoft has pushed the release back – maybe to 2026 or even early 2027. Still, a new report says they’re planning to reveal it soon, which is awesome, and hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long after that to actually play it.
Reliable gaming leaker shinobi602 claims Ubisoft has a specific release date planned for the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake. While the game won’t be shown at this week’s PlayStation State of Play, shinobi602 suggests a reveal is coming soon, meaning Ubisoft likely won’t keep quiet for much longer.
This Is a Vital Remake for Ubisoft

It’s still unclear exactly what this remake of Assassin’s Creed 4 will offer, but we can expect significant visual upgrades and better performance. This should make it the best way to experience Black Flag. Considering the original AC4 is now nearly 13 years old, there’s also a possibility of some gameplay enhancements and minor story changes.
As a long-time fan, I’m really hoping this remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is just the beginning! The first few Assassin’s Creed games are starting to feel a little dated, even though so many of us still love them. If this remake is well-received, I wouldn’t be shocked if Ubisoft decided to remake the very first Assassin’s Creed or Assassin’s Creed 2 next. It’s all just speculation for now, but it’s a really exciting thought for those of us who’ve been with the series since the start.
