Leaks continue to build excitement for upcoming games! Not only did the PlayStation Store reveal what Leon S. Kennedy will look like in Resident Evil Requiem, but the PEGI ratings board appears to have confirmed a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Twitter user @TheHiddenOneAC noticed the game is titled Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and will be published by Ubisoft EMEA.
The game’s strong violence and bad language rightly earn it a PEGI 18 rating. However, it also features in-game purchases, which were present in the original version as resource packs and ship upgrades for real money. It remains to be seen if the updated game will have similar purchases, or if they’ll be more excessive, like some recent titles – including the poorly received Assassin’s Creed Shadows X Attack on Titan collaboration.
Although Ubisoft hasn’t officially confirmed it, a remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag has been heavily rumored for years. The actor who voiced Edward Kenway, Matt Ryan, even hinted at it, and reportedly faced legal threats as a result. If the rumors are true, the remake – potentially launching by March 31st, 2026 – might be revealed at The Game Awards. You can find more information about the possible changes here.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is now showing on the PEGI website. Truly the worst kept secret in gaming right now. ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT!
