Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’s Accessibility Options Include Unlimited O2, QTE Skips and More

For those eager to learn more about Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, the project’s user experience director, Jonathan Bedard, and game designer Maksym Smolynets have detailed the accessibility features players can expect. These include colorblind modes with preset color options that will affect all the game’s visuals.

The game will also feature spoken descriptions of on-screen menus and important game details, like coordinates and ship information. As previously mentioned, you’ll be able to customize the heads-up display, and now you can also fine-tune visual effects, including highlights for points of interest and docking areas.

The game also includes standard options like motion blur and screen shake. To improve comfort, there’s a customizable on-screen dot that helps reduce motion sickness, and you can adjust subtitles extensively. A helpful audio glossary is also available. New players can activate a first-time user experience and choose from accessibility settings, customizing them to fit their needs.

Beyond customizable controls, the game lets you tailor the difficulty of several areas, including naval battles, sneaking, and general combat, as well as activities like diving. You can also switch from the more complex jump and parkour system to a simpler, classic style. Plus, you can disable quick-time events, even during shark attacks, and even play with unlimited oxygen if you prefer.

On July 9th, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be released for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. A recent gameplay preview shows off the game’s fast-paced action, including dynamic weather, stealth features, and open-world exploration.
