Ubisoft recently shared some exciting news about several upcoming Assassin’s Creed games, including a new look at Invictus, the long-awaited multiplayer title.
After a period of silence following its 2022 announcement, the team is now looking for ways to release the game and gather player feedback to help improve it. Jean Guesdon, Head of Content at Vantage Studios, was a key figure in the original announcement and shared these updates:
We know many of you are excited about this new project. It is a fresh take on multiplayer for the series, but it’s different from what you might have heard. We really value your feedback, and we’re looking for ways to involve the community earlier in the development process so we can build this experience together.
Okay, so we’re still waiting on Invictus, and honestly, it’s been a while! I’m hoping we’ll finally get a chance to play it soon. But the cool news is they’re actually listening to us about bringing co-op back to Assassin’s Creed! Apparently, they noticed we wanted it, and even though one of their projects got scrapped, they’re using what they learned to make co-op happen. I’m not sure if that cancelled project was LEAGUE, but I’m really excited about the possibility of playing Assassin’s Creed with friends – or even against them! They also finally updated Black Flag Resynced, which is awesome, and Unity now runs at 60 FPS! It looks like the Assassin’s Creed team is really focused on making things great, even if it means taking their time. It feels like a lot of good stuff is coming in the next few months!
