Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed series is progressing well in production. Following the recent appointment of new showrunners and producers, Deadline reports that Toby Wallace will be a main cast member. Wallace, who has appeared in Bikeriders and Euphoria, is the first actor officially confirmed for the show.
I’m so excited about the Assassin’s Creed series! We don’t know exactly who Wallace will be playing yet, but he’s going to be one of the main characters. What’s really interesting is that it’s unclear if he’ll be a hero or a villain! They’re keeping a lot of the details under wraps, but we do know it’s going to be a thrilling show centered around the age-old conflict between the Assassins and Templars. I can’t wait to find out more!

They feel that working on it constantly reveals new creative opportunities. While the show features impressive visuals, action, and parkour, at its core it’s a human story about finding meaning, grappling with identity and fate, and exploring themes of power, violence, desire, and revenge. Ultimately, they believe the show is about the importance of human connection, regardless of cultural or temporal boundaries.

Matt O’Toole, Austin Dill, Margaret Boykin, and Gerard Guillemot from Ubisoft Film & Television have joined the production of Assassin’s Creed as executive producers. Boykin stated she was excited to collaborate with director Rowena Wiener and showrunner Patrick Patino, and to partner with Netflix on the series.
Boykin expressed their excitement about collaborating with Roberto, David, and Netflix to create a series based on the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise. They aim to capture what fans already enjoy about the series while also making it accessible and appealing to a wider, global audience.
So, Ubisoft is really pushing into TV and movies lately. They just announced they’re teaming up with FX to make a Far Cry TV show! It’s going to be an anthology series, meaning each season will probably tell a different story within the Far Cry universe. And get this – Rob Mac, who’s known for his work on similar projects, is not only producing it, but he’s going to be in it too. Pretty cool, right?
