Kunos Simulazioni has released update 0.6 for Assetto Corsa EVO, adding new content and improving the driving and racing experience. The studio focused on enhancing the core elements of how the car feels and handles. This update includes the Seabring International Raceway and other improvements to make the simulation more realistic and immersive.
This update features six new cars: the Audi R8 LMS GT4 Evo, Ferrari 296 GT3, Ferrari GTO, Ford Mustang GT3, Lamborghini Countach, and Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport. A brand new track is also being added, offering a challenging racing experience with its uneven surface, long braking areas, and complex turns. The developers say this track is perfectly suited for the new GT cars.
This update focuses on improving how the game feels and plays. We’ve made significant changes to the vehicle suspension, including systems for handling bumps, turns, and overall stability. Online races will be smoother and more reliable thanks to improvements in how the game handles collisions. The sound design has also been enhanced, with better reverb in tunnels and enclosed spaces, and some cars now have completely new or improved sound effects. We’ve also upgraded the audio system to support more complex soundscapes.
Assetto Corsa EVO now officially supports MoTeC telemetry, letting players analyze their driving performance with detailed data.
This update includes several improvements to make the game more user-friendly. The settings menu for controls has been reorganized to group options by input type, and the car selection screen has been updated. Players can now host their own game servers thanks to improvements in the game’s networking code. The developers at Kunos are carefully balancing competition, player freedom, and ease of access. Dedicated servers are now possible using a new program available through Steam Tools.
The studio announced that this latest update finishes building a complete multiplayer system. This system allows for different player types and aims to create a more personalized and refined online experience, whether you enjoy competitive racing, joining communities, or just playing with friends.
So, the developers have said they’re not stopping here! They’re planning a bunch of improvements – everything from making the AI opponents smarter and the game running smoother, to overhauling pit stops, penalties, and even the weather. They want to tweak the tracks, tires, and car handling, plus improve the graphics, replays, and how much I can customize things. Basically, they’re committed to making the game even better down the line, and I’m excited to see it all come together!
Since its early release on PC in January 2025, Kunos Simulazioni has consistently updated and improved Assetto Corsa EVO. These updates have added new cars and various other enhancements to the game. Coming later this year is the Eifel Free Roam mode, which was previewed in a teaser showing players racing on the track and exploring a large, detailed complex within the Nürburgring. The teaser also highlighted other areas of the track and showed non-player characters going about their daily routines.
