Twenty years ago today, on February 27, 2006, Princess Peach finally took center stage in her own full-length adventure with Super Princess Peach. Unlike most Mario games, this one put Peach in the role of rescuer, tasking her with saving Mario and Luigi from Bowser. Though the game wasn’t perfect, it has a lot of appealing qualities, especially looking back – which makes it disappointing that Peach hasn’t had more opportunities to be the hero.

DC is building on the previous MonsterVerse movies in its new team-up, Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2. This time, the Justice League and Suicide Squad travel to the MonsterVerse, where chaos has erupted. King Ghidorah has united a massive force of Titans from both the surface world and the Hollow Earth, including the Skar King and his powerful ally, Shimo. A war is brewing, and while the Skar King seeks revenge against Kong, Kong isn’t facing this battle alone – he’s getting some much-needed assistance.

For weeks, the creator of Stardew Valley, Barone, hinted at adding two new characters you could marry in the game’s 1.7 update. These characters were officially revealed on February 26th during the game’s 10th anniversary celebration. Before the announcement, fans voted on who they wanted to see as potential spouses. Unfortunately, the Wizard won’t be a marriage option. Instead, Clint has been added as a new bachelor, and Sandy is the new bachelorette. Many players are disappointed Clint was chosen, as he’s not a very popular character, and they were hoping for the Wizard or another more well-liked option. There hasn’t been as much discussion about Sandy, but a small detail suggests her arrival might also include new story details for the game.

For a long time, it seemed like the Scream movies would remain a classic trilogy, cherished by horror fans. However, Scream has become much more popular than anyone expected. There are now seven films in the series, surpassing the number of installments in other famous slasher franchises like Candyman and Psycho, and equaling the original Chucky series. With so many Scream movies available, it begs the question: how do they all compare?

Mark Cerny, a designer for the PS5 Pro, announced on the PlayStation Blog that a new system update will be rolling out worldwide in the coming weeks. This update focuses on PSSR technology, significantly improving the console’s upscaling capabilities compared to its launch in late 2024. This enhanced PSSR feature will be implemented on a per-game basis, and the first game to support it will be Resident Evil Requiem.

Marathon isn’t a game for all players, and we’ve seen the usual complaints comparing it to ‘Concord 2,’ which frankly, are getting old. However, from what we’ve played so far, Bungie is intentionally creating a unique experience within the extraction genre, rather than simply copying what’s already out there.
