The story follows Duncan, a young knight hoping to find a place serving one of Westeros’s noble families. He arrives at a tournament a century before the events of Game of Thrones, where many houses have gathered to compete in jousting, enjoy festivities, and pursue their own ambitions.
What really stands out about the show is its humor. While Game of Thrones had its funny parts, largely thanks to characters like Tyrion Lannister and Bronn, it wasn’t primarily a comedy. House of the Dragon takes this even further, being a much more serious and dramatic show.
The adaptation of Dunk and Egg feels remarkably faithful to the source material, capturing the right tone and scope for this more intimate story, and much of the dialogue is lifted directly from George R.R. Martin’s writing. However, as with any adaptation, some expansion was needed to fill the time and give the actors, particularly those in supporting roles, more opportunities to develop their characters.
The novel IT: Welcome to Derry revisits the Black Spot from IT: Chapter One and clarifies its nature. It reveals that the location wasn’t actually a nightclub, but a repurposed storage building occasionally used as a gathering place by the Black community.

He’d planned to confront them about how they treat her financially and hoped to ‘rescue’ Sheena, but a recent discovery suggests that confrontation won’t be happening as expected.

Even so, the world of anime has many fantastic shows and movies, many of which are beautiful to watch. Beyond the impressive animation, the stories are engaging enough that even people new to anime will quickly become fans.
