I’m really excited about this new movie, The Rip! It’s got an incredible cast – alongside Ben Affleck and Damon, they’ve got actors like Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Catalina Moreno, Kyle Chandler, and Néstor Carbonell. Plus, Scott Adkins and Lina Esco are in it too! I’ve heard it’s directed by Joe Carnahan and people are already saying it’s super tense and the cast is amazing. Rotten Tomatoes gives it an 82% approval rating, which is awesome!

Following the success of The Conjuring: Last Rites, which wrapped up Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga’s portrayal of Ed and Lorraine Warren and broke box office records, a prequel called First Communion has been announced. It’s scheduled to be released on September 10, 2027.

Ólafur Darri Ólafsson will play the character Drago in How to Train Your Dragon 2. He recently appeared as the enigmatic Mr. Drummond. The film will also feature returning cast members Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, and Harry Trevaldwyn.

“The Rip” is a fast-paced new action thriller bringing together Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Directed and written by Joe Carnahan, known for action films like Narc, Smokin’ Aces, and Copshop, the Netflix movie features a star-studded cast. Joining Damon and Affleck are Teyana Taylor, Steven Yeun, Kyle Chandler, Scott Adkins, Nestor Carbonell, and Sasha Calle.

The first movie we’ll likely see is based on a script initially submitted in August 2025, which she felt was promising but needed further work. After a 70-page revision, a complete script should be ready for the studio in March 2026. The new Lucasfilm leaders, Filoni and Brennan, are very enthusiastic about the script and see it as the potential start of a new trilogy.
