‘Wake Up Dead Man’ Stealthily Rickrolled Every Netflix Subscriber Who Watched It

A keen-eyed fan named Jay Hulme noticed something interesting about the film Wake Up Dead Man: it appears to have subtly “Rickrolled” the audience. “Rickrolling” is a prank where people are tricked into watching Rick Astley’s 1987 music video, “Never Gonna Give You Up,” instead of what they expected. Though Astley and the song aren’t in the film, the movie was filmed at the same location as the music video.

Netflix Quietly Adds A Horror Thriller Starring An MCU & DCEU Star

I stumbled onto a surprisingly tense thriller on Netflix recently – The Girl Who Got Away. It’s a 2021 indie film that originally came out four years ago, and it’s written and directed by Michael Morrissey. The story centers around a female serial killer who breaks free after years in custody, and a detective convinced she’s after one last victim who got away. It’s a solid find for horror fans, but honestly, the biggest surprise for me was seeing Chukwudi Iwuji – who you might recognize from recent blockbuster hits – in one of the lead roles. Definitely a bit of a left turn if you’re expecting superhero action!

20 Years Ago Today, This Xbox 360 Launch Game Ended an Era for One Series

As a long-time Xbox fan, I remember how important certain games were for the consoles themselves. Like, Halo: Combat Evolved wasn’t just a great game, it really helped launch the original Xbox! Then a few years later, Dead or Alive 4 did the same thing for the 360 – it was huge when it came out. Looking back after twenty years, it’s amazing to see just how successful that game was, how much it influenced fighting games, and how it ended up being a real high point for the original Team Ninja crew before things changed for them.

Brad Pitt Teasing Catherine Zeta-Jones About Ocean’s Twelve Is Exactly Why I Love Those Movies

Catherine Zeta-Jones approached the set as a dedicated professional, eager to discuss her scenes and the details of her role. However, for Brad Pitt and the rest of the star-studded cast – including George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and Don Cheadle – filming felt more like a pleasant trip to Europe. Pitt later shared in an interview with the Daily Echo, shortly after the movie’s release, that this was the case for almost everyone involved.
