That means we’ve left out consistently running animated shows like Teen Titans GO!, Spidey and His Amazing Friends, and Batwheels, as their seasons continue into 2026. Here’s our ranking of all the superhero series that premiered in 2025, from worst to best.

It started so promisingly, but then the series just…lost its way. It was like being on a rollercoaster that unexpectedly jumps the tracks. Suddenly, the story felt flat, or the plot became confusing and dragged on. I found myself watching, genuinely puzzled about how something with so much potential could fall apart so completely. It was a real disappointment.

Each character, like Noelle learning to believe in herself or Zora’s tough outlook, gets a chance to develop – something you don’t often see in shows with so many people. And the action? It’s incredibly exciting! The animation isn’t perfect, but when it’s good, it’s amazing. The magic battles are visually stunning, driven by intense emotions and incredible power boosts, and they’ll keep you hooked. The series definitely uses familiar shonen story elements, but it embraces them with so much passion that you can’t help but cheer for the characters.

Often, Batman’s enemies aren’t simply evil – they have reasons for their actions that we can understand, and sometimes even feel for, which makes their fall from grace especially sad. The most compelling Batman stories explore the inner struggles of these villains just as much as they focus on Batman’s fights against them.

Shortly after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home in December 2021, Marvel announced that Tom Holland would continue playing Spider-Man in at least three new Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The first of these movies is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which will introduce a more grown-up, experienced, and secretive version of the friendly neighborhood hero. While it’s not yet confirmed if Holland will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, Brand New Day is expected to lead into the epic finale of the Multiverse Saga, planned for release in 2026 and 2027.

Starting January 12th, the game Anthem will no longer be playable. Electronic Arts (EA) is shutting down the servers for the BioWare-developed multiplayer action RPG, which originally launched in 2019 and received negative feedback. BioWare stopped actively developing Anthem in 2021, and the game was removed from digital stores on August 15th of this year.

The studio in France has stated they will no longer use this technology, and all their future games will be created entirely by people. They quickly removed the problematic elements from the final version of the game.
