I’m so excited (and a little nervous!) because the last episode of IT: Welcome to Derry Season 1 is coming out this Sunday night! It’ll be on HBO and HBO Max at the same time. After that crazy episode last week, everyone’s been on the edge of their seats waiting to see how it all wraps up – especially knowing we’re getting two more seasons of this story!

Here are 7 historical films that truly stand out and deserve to be seen. They’re exceptionally well-made in every way, and most people would agree they’re essential viewing – skipping them would mean missing out on some truly great cinema.

Even a short clip from an Avatar movie clearly shows how technically impressive—and expensive—these films are to create. Recently, reports have surfaced claiming Fire and Ash cost $400 million to produce, though Disney hasn’t officially confirmed that figure. When asked about the film’s finances, James Cameron joked that those were questions for Disney CEO Bob Iger. However, on The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast, Cameron did share some insights:

Medical dramas are popular because they’re full of emotional stories about doctors and nurses working tirelessly to care for a constant stream of patients. While they can’t always succeed, these dedicated professionals show up every day determined to save as many lives as possible. They aren’t motivated by a desire to be heroes, but their selfless dedication is what makes them admirable. The show Nurse Jackie took a different approach to this familiar formula, exploring the challenging realities of nursing and the often-hidden struggles with addiction.

Vin Diesel shared a photo with Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram, announcing that the famous soccer star will be in Fast & Furious 11. Ronaldo is one of the most well-known soccer players in the world, and the Fast & Furious movies are hugely popular internationally, so his appearance is expected to generate a lot of excitement for the new film. Diesel revealed that a role was created specifically for Ronaldo, but hasn’t yet shared details about what it will be.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge first created the character of Fleabag for a play, which allowed her to deeply understand and develop the character’s personality before bringing it to television. Over its two seasons, Fleabag became one of the most acclaimed and brilliant comedy series of the 21st century. Anyone who enjoys comedy, particularly darker humor, should definitely watch it.

As a longtime fan, I was really surprised to hear that Grimes – you know, the singer behind “Genesis” – said Elon Musk blocked her on X! Apparently, someone asked why she wasn’t following him anymore, and she revealed he’d blocked her. It’s just… unexpected. They share three amazing kids – X Æ A-Xii, who’s five, Exa Dark Sideræl, four, and little Tau Techno Mechanicus, who’s three – and I always thought they were on good terms, even after their split. It’s a bit sad to hear about this public falling out.

Everything goes horribly wrong when a wizard named Yakumaru accidentally kills Cross, starting a full-scale war between the two groups. To resolve the conflict, Dabura, the Simurians’ leader, challenges someone from Earth to a duel. Since none of the adults are strong enough to fight him, the responsibility falls to Yuka, who is already sick and frail. The battle begins, and in Chapter 15, Yuka reveals a powerful fighting technique – one that’s surprisingly similar to Megumi Fushiguro’s.

Paul Giamatti, who plays the character Nus Braka in the upcoming series, recently described his motivations at CCXP. Braka is a criminal—essentially a pirate and smuggler involved in all sorts of illegal activities. He leads a group called the Vanari Ral, and has traveled extensively throughout the galaxy. Giamatti portrays him as a low-status character with delusions of grandeur who puts on a foolish act to mask his dangerous and psychopathic nature. Interestingly, Giamatti suggests Braka is mean to children because he secretly envies their support systems and wishes he had the same kindness shown to them.
