Okay, so as a huge Fast & Furious fan, I’m getting really excited! Vin Diesel has been dropping hints on social media that Cristiano Ronaldo might be joining the cast of what’s currently being called Fast 11 – though there’s buzz it could end up being titled Fast Forever. They’re really building up the cast for this one, bringing back familiar faces and even hinting at Dwayne Johnson’s return. But a football legend? That’s a new one, and honestly, I’m here for it! It sounds wild, but that’s exactly what I expect from this series.
Vin Diesel shared a photo with Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram, announcing that the famous soccer star will be in Fast & Furious 11. Ronaldo is one of the most well-known soccer players in the world, and the Fast & Furious movies are hugely popular internationally, so his appearance is expected to generate a lot of excitement for the new film. Diesel revealed that a role was created specifically for Ronaldo, but hasn’t yet shared details about what it will be.
People kept wondering if he’d be part of the Fast saga… and honestly, he’s the real deal. We actually created a character specifically for him.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s role in the next Fast & Furious movie might be small, similar to Pete Davidson’s brief appearance in Fast X. However, he could also play a more significant part, perhaps as a previously unknown member of Dom’s team who’s crucial to their latest mission. Details about his character are likely to stay secret until production on Fast 11 progresses, but his involvement adds another interesting face to the already impressive cast.
‘Fast and Furious 11’ Is Building an Impressive Cast
In addition to Cristiano Ronaldo joining Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in Fast & Furious 11, the movie is bringing back many familiar faces. Jordana Brewster, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Michelle Rodriguez are all set to return for what’s being promoted as the last film in the series. While Jason Momoa was expected to play the villain Dante Reyes again, he’s currently unsure about his involvement.
Some fans are worried about comments Vin Diesel made regarding Paul Walker and his character, Brian O’Connor. Walker hasn’t appeared in the Fast & Furious films since his passing during the making of Furious 7, which required significant changes to that movie. Given the recent trend of using digital versions of actors who have died – like Ian Holm in Alien: Resurrection – some viewers fear that bringing Walker’s character back could negatively impact his memory.
While the exact story for the next Fast & Furious movie is still a secret, it will likely continue the cliffhanger ending of Fast X, where several characters were left in dangerous or even fatal situations. Vin Diesel has hinted the film will focus on the series’ origins in Los Angeles. Currently planned for release in April 2027, production is expected to start next year, and more information will be revealed as the movie develops.
