This issue, similar to the last crossover event, focuses on a main story featuring the titular characters, written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Jorge Jiménez. It also includes several additional stories from well-known comic creators such as Christopher Priest, Greg Rucka, and Gail Simone, with art by icons like Jim Lee, Daniel Sampere, and Nicola Scott. As with the previous event, the comic is packed with content, and quality varies between stories. However, it’s generally a very enjoyable read and sure to please fans of both Spider-Man and Superman.

I was so excited to read the latest JoJo Magazine 2026 Spring issue! Director Toshiyuki Kato finally talked about adapting Steel Ball Run, and honestly, he admitted what we were all thinking: it looked really hard to animate! He said everyone who’s read the manga probably figured the sheer number of horses would be a huge problem. He pointed out that it wouldn’t have been possible with earlier parts like Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, or Stardust Crusaders. It’s only been in the last few years that they started seeing a way to actually make it work. Apparently, before they settled on the final animation style, they even created a rough prototype of around twenty scenes just to test things out!

In Japan, Village in the Shade is due out for all platforms on July 30.

Sega and Sonic Team haven’t officially announced or even suggested a Definitive Edition was being developed. After its release in November 2022 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch, the 3D platformer received three large free updates in 2023, culminating in ‘The Final Horizon,’ which added nine new Cyber Space levels and a difficult final boss.
