Many shows before and since Stranger Things have successfully used similar themes and ideas. If you enjoyed Stranger Things and are looking for something else to watch now that it’s over, here are five excellent options that deliver from beginning to end.

I’ve always loved how Dragon Ball keeps its human characters grounded in classic martial arts – it’s all about skill and training, not just overwhelming power. Sure, with all the gods and aliens showing up, they don’t always take center stage in the biggest fights anymore, but they’re still so important to the whole story! They really prove that anyone, even someone born without any special abilities, can become unbelievably strong through hard work and determination. It’s a really inspiring message, honestly.

A surprising fight between Maru and Tsurugi, who have a very close relationship, takes an unexpected turn in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 17, “Chaos and Harmony.” Though Maru initially dominates the fight with his powerful cursed techniques, Tsurugi manages to summon the Queen of Curses, Rika, using a ring he inherited from Yuta. We learn Yuta specifically asked Rika to watch over his descendants. Despite her hesitation – and a hint of jealousy towards Yuta’s wife because Tsurugi resembles Maki – Rika ultimately possesses Tsurugi’s body, completely changing the course of the battle.

Sometimes when a TV show ends, the story continues in comic books. A recent example is The Expanse, which Amazon cancelled after six seasons despite having more story to tell. BOOM! Studios continued the story with The Expanse: A Little Death last year. While that comic wasn’t a huge success, some TV show continuations in comic form are actually excellent—even better than the shows themselves.

The critically acclaimed film Parasite, directed by Bong Joon-ho and a winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, will be removed from Netflix on January 31st. If you haven’t seen it, you only have a few weeks left to watch it on the streaming service.

Several highly anticipated Star Wars games, including Star Wars 1313, Star Wars: Battlefront III, and Star Wars: Project Ragtag, were cancelled for various internal reasons. This makes it concerning when we don’t hear about major games for a long time, as fans worry those titles might also be scrapped. Although there are upcoming Star Wars games to be excited about, one particular game hasn’t received any news or updates recently.
