In my perspective as a movie reviewer, the Arrowverse is always eager to carve its unique path, but occasionally, it seems to draw inspiration from its origin stories. A prime instance of this is when Barry Allen, in Season 2, ventures back in time to save his mother – an element that echoes the timeless “Flashpoint” narrative. Regrettably, I believe The CW missed a golden opportunity by not deviating from this arc, as it ultimately mismanaged the storyline.

The official account of X (previously known as Twitter) for Chainsaw Man has announced that the world premiere of Reze Arc is imminent and scheduled for September 15th in Tokyo, where 140 lucky fans selected through an online application will have the exclusive opportunity to watch it before anyone else. The film will then be released in Japanese cinemas on September 19th at a yet-to-be-disclosed TOHO Cinema in Tokyo, with the event featuring both the cast and crew of the movie.

While some new developments have emerged, they unfortunately add to the pain felt by fans regarding the Terminator series. It was impossible for anyone to completely fill the shoes left by Cameron and steer these movies perfectly. However, learning that Ridley Scott declined Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines remains a bitter disappointment.

The manga series “Jujutsu Kaisen” concluded in Shonen Jump magazine back in December, but its creator, Gege Akutami, has since been busy working on a new major project. Joining forces with the creator of “Cipher Academy,” Yuji Iwasaki, they are set to return to the magazine with the upcoming issue of Shonen Jump, which will be released next week. Their new series is called “Mojuro” (though its official English title has not been confirmed yet). Unlike “Jujutsu Kaisen”, this new series is expected to have a much more limited run. A user named Ozymandiiass on the Marvel Studios subreddit has proposed an intriguing fan theory about what could happen to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after “Avengers: Secret Wars.” Instead of a complete reboot of the MCU’s main timeline, this theory suggests that Doctor Doom from the MCU will recreate the events leading up to the “Secret Wars” comic book series. In these events, Doctor Doom would shatter the multiverse and reform it into a mosaic of regions called Battleworld. The subsequent phase of the MCU would then unfold, telling various stories set in different realms within this broken world.

The game under discussion, playable on both PS4 and PS Vita, is titled “Nuclear Throne“. This was one of the initial successful indie games on PlayStation 4. Produced and distributed by Vlambeer, “Nuclear Throne” offers a post-apocalyptic top-down shooting experience with bullet-hell and roguelike elements. It earned an impressive 89 on Metacritic, making it one of the highest-rated games of its year. Interestingly, this year also marks the 10th anniversary for the game, as well as developer Vlambeer’s 15th anniversary. To commemorate these milestones, a significant update numbering the 100th is set to be released on December 5, which was the original release date of the game. This update will introduce C-Skins for all 13 characters, a new custom difficulty mode, localization, support for running at over 60 frames per second, and numerous additional quality of life enhancements.

Many characters from “Doctor Who” during its classic run (1963-1989) made a single appearance as villains, including the Mechonoids, Tereleptils, Raston Warrior Robots, and others. Similarly, several adversaries in the revived series (starting in 2005), such as the Gelth, Abzorbaloff, Family of Blood, Dream Lord, and more, have also appeared just once. It’d be exciting to see some of these villains reappear when “Doctor Who” comes back again, but among those battled only once, the Mechonoids, Tereleptils, Raston Warrior Robots, and their kind are particularly chilling and memorable foes for the Doctor.
