As a big fan of The Sims, I’ve noticed EA’s been running servers for a few mobile games for a while now. FreePlay always felt like a pretty direct copy of the console Sims, but The Sims Mobile really focused on the social side of things. That got me thinking – I have a feeling EA is shutting down The Sims Mobile to clear the way for Project Rene. It just makes sense that they’d want a fresh start with their new game!
