The next James Bond may be “unknown” British actor as ‘director seeks fresh face’

According to a new report from Deadline, the filmmakers behind the project – including director Denis Villeneuve – are searching for an up-and-coming actor, someone relatively new to the screen, to take on the role. They’re looking for a man likely between 28 and 32 years old, with filming expected to begin in 2027 and the movie planned for release in 2028.

Nixxes is working directly with the team at Housemarque to refine the game’s art and gameplay. Meanwhile, PlayStation Studios Creative Arts is handling the music and sound. Adding to the impressive audio experience is composer Sam Slater, a Grammy Award winner known for his work on projects like *Chernobyl*, *Joker*, and *Mandy*, among others.

So, good news for me and other gamers – the sequel is definitely being built in Unreal Engine 5, which isn’t a huge shock considering the first *Returnal* used Unreal Engine 4. They’re aiming for a smooth 60 FPS on the PS5, but they’ve said it’s still early days, so expect some tweaks, fixes, and improvements as they keep working on it. The gameplay trailer only showed off *one* of the many areas we’ll be exploring, and I’m excited to learn I’ll be using both Soltari weapons – like the Phosphorous Shotgun – *and* some seriously cool Carcosan tech to take down enemies!
