Avengers: Doomsday Star Confirms “Every Character Has Their Moment” Amid Growing Casting Concerns

Avengers: Doomsday will not be wasting their cameos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe installment.

Lewis Pullman, who plays Sentry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently told Esquire about the upcoming team-up movie planned for Phase 6. He explained that the film will focus on the core, relatable human qualities of its characters, and will feature both previously announced and surprise cameos.

Although Avengers: Doomsday features a large cast of characters, actor Bill Pullman emphasized that the movie won’t just be a series of quick appearances. He explained that each character will have a meaningful role and development. He compared this approach to the work of the Russo brothers, who always ensured every character felt important and wasn’t simply in the background.

The actor from Thunderbolts said the Russo brothers were very aware of the amazing talent they had assembled and intentionally created opportunities for exciting actor pairings. Pullman also believes fans will love seeing these combinations play out, as the movie fulfills many of the ‘what if’ scenarios fans have imagined – like seeing certain actors share the screen together.

He jokingly described talking about Marvel movies as a strange situation where you end up saying a lot without actually revealing much. Filming for reshoots of Avengers: Doomsday is about to begin, and then they’ll move on to Avengers: Secret Wars, which is scheduled to film this summer.

Actors who starred in Fox’s X-Men films are joining forces with the Avengers, and the Fantastic Four are finally becoming part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Robert Downey Jr. will be back, but he won’t be playing Iron Man – instead, he’ll be taking on the role of Doctor Doom.

Although some actors from Avengers: Doomsday will return for Avengers: Secret Wars, Marvel Studios hasn’t announced the complete cast yet. It’s still unclear if Pullman will reprise his role as The Sentry after the 2026 movie.

Avengers: Doomsday opens on December 18.
