Avengers vs. X: Twitter Crash Ruins Doomsday Trailer 4 Release

The latest trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is out now, though some people on Twitter/X had trouble viewing it. The movie has been promoted with a series of short previews released in theaters over the last month before becoming available online. This fourth trailer focuses on Wakanda and the Fantastic Four, showing Shuri, M’Baku, and Namor in Wakanda, alongside the arrival of Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing.

The release wasn’t ideal, as it happened when X was experiencing some problems. The platform had a few bugs over the last couple of days, and many users couldn’t load or watch the fourth Avengers: Doomsday trailer. Others were unable to comment or share their thoughts. Okay, so things have been a little rocky online lately. As of today, X is still having issues – I keep getting an error message saying “Something went wrong,” and my feed just isn’t loading. Down Detector is showing over 25,000 people reporting problems, which is rough. And the new Marvel footage? It was a weird rollout. They initially just stuck it at the beginning of that Doomsday Clock countdown video, which was confusing, before finally releasing it as its own clip. It’s a bit of a shame for Marvel’s marketing, though I’m sure the movie will do great anyway. But honestly, I feel bad for the fans who were trying to watch it right when it dropped – that Doomsday teaser was actually pretty good, and it’s frustrating when you can’t get it to play!

Unlike previous trailers that highlighted individual heroes or single teams like the X-Men, this new trailer shows a real team-up. We’re finally seeing the Wakandans, Atlanteans, and Fantastic Four working together – and this marks the first time a member of the Fantastic Four has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after a brief hint of their ship in the post-credits scene of Thunderbolts. The main idea of the upcoming story is that heroes from many different backgrounds will unite to fight Doctor Doom, and this trailer is the first to really showcase that, which makes it especially thrilling.

Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18th, 2026.
