Carly Waddell is done beating about the bush.
The Bachelor Nation star revealed that she and Todd Allen Trassler have called off their engagement. She explained she had been keeping the news to herself for a month before deciding to make it public.
“Okay, let’s be honest,” she started in her Oct. 1 Instagram video. “I’m sharing something I’ve been hesitant to post, because I wasn’t emotionally prepared. And truthfully, I don’t think it’s something others need to know.”
She went on to say, “But I always try to be honest with you all, so I want to be upfront. It’s pretty clear I’m not wearing a ring.”
Carly-mother to Bella, age 7, and Charlie, 5, who she shares with her former husband, Evan Bass-has announced she’s ended her engagement. She also shared that she and her children have relocated to a different city.
This wasn’t a quick decision I made on a whim,” the 39-year-old explained. “The timing was difficult because the children had recently begun school and their extracurricular activities. Ultimately, you have to accept things as they are.”
Carly-she admitted some fans have commented on the fact she’s no longer wearing an engagement ring-shared that she feels “very at peace” with her decision to end the wedding plans, and also mentioned that Bella and Charlie are “loving life in the new place.”
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’ve been following Carly Bachelor in Paradise forever! It’s still so wild to think that’s where she met Evan, her husband for three years before things ended in 2020. Anyway, she’s been talking about what her love life has been like lately, and I’m *obsessed* with hearing all the details! She really shared some insight into everything, and it’s just…amazing.
“Dating after a divorce, especially when you have children, is really challenging,” Carly shared. “It requires making difficult choices, both for yourself and your family. That’s where I find myself right now.”
The mother explained in her post that she was ready to talk about her split because she wanted to feel a little more free.
The news of Carly’s split comes roughly four months after she revealed that she, Todd, and her children had relocated to Todd’s hometown of Lebanon, Tennessee. In a post on June 10th announcing the move, she wrote, “Now I get to live with three of my best friends instead of two! And two dogs and a cat of course!”
Since then, she and Todd-whom Carly proposed to in October 2023, and who reciprocated a year later-spent this summer traveling through Europe, visiting places like Lake Como in Italy, as well as Switzerland and Austria.
While touring the locations where the film Sound of Music was shot, Carly and her fiancé at the time playfully reenacted the famous “16 Going on 17” scene.
Carly wrote a caption for a post on July 23rd-the last time Todd appeared on her social media-saying, “We’re not teenagers anymore, but we still have that feeling of young love.”

According to Spencer Conley (who intrigued Jenn Tran with his “golden retriever energy” on The Bachelorette), he fetched quite the catch on the 10th season of Bachelor in Paradise. Posting a snippet of himself and Jess Edwards (she took a swing at Bachelor Joey Graziadei‘s heart) revealing that they were falling for one another—Bachelor code for I’m not quite ready to say, “I love you”—he wrote on his Instagram Stories in August 2025 that he’d “already won.”
Jess echoed the sentiment, posting on social media, “just feeling a lil giddy about this man & whatnot.”
They were clearly happy when they chose their relationship over the $250,000 prize, getting engaged and receiving an unexpected check for $190,000.
“Everything that we’ve been through,” Jess said, “has led us to this exact moment.”
The couple’s love story will continue in Dallas, as the show revealed her plans to move there to be with Spencer.
Status: Dating
“This was my best first date,” Bailey Taylor Brown posted on Instagram in August 2025 after taking Jeremy Simon out during the 10th season of Paradise. But could it also be their last? The social media manager, who originally tried to win Grant Ellis‘ affection, and the real estate investor who almost won over Bachelorette Jenn, managed to overcome their biggest fight ever when she found out he had hesitated about sending Susie Evans home.
Despite the drama, their connection grew stronger in Costa Rica. Even though they were eliminated during the Bachelor in Paradise finale, they continued dating after the show. The show later revealed that they had already met each other’s families and were planning to move to the same city.
Status: Dating
It appears the connection between Paradise season 10 couple Andrew Spencer (who competed for Katie Thurston‘s heart) and Alexe Godin (from Grant’s season) has stayed very strong even after the show ended. Just six days after the football player from Chicago called the speech therapist “mon amour” on Instagram in August 2025, she reciprocated, calling him “mon chéri” in her own post.
Even though they chose love instead of the $250,000 prize on the BiP finale, they still each went home with $125,000.
“This is absolutely incredible,” Alexe exclaimed. “I’m leaving with money, but more importantly, with love-the most valuable thing of all.”
And they’re taking that love to Chicago, as the show revealed Alexe’s plans to move to the Windy City with Andrew.

Kat and Dale faced a difficult situation during the Bachelor in Paradise finale when Sean McLaughlin claimed Kat had hidden a laptop and was secretly writing love letters to an ex. However, Kat, who works as a nurse practitioner, insisted she hadn’t contacted him while on the show.
“Were my ex and I still together before this?” she asked. “Yes, because I didn’t expect to meet anyone here.”
Although Kat and Dale didn’t make it to the final stage of Paradise, their relationship continued to grow. The show later revealed that the couple-Kat, who was on Zach Shallcross‘ season, and Dale, a former contestant from Clare Crawley‘s season-traveled around the U.S. together and started making plans for their future, including moving closer to each other.
“It definitely had its challenges,” Dale wrote in the comments of Kat’s Instagram post from August 2025, “but we got through them as a team…and I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.”
Status: Just friends—for now
Golden Bachelorette contestant Gary Levingston and Leslie Fhima (who was a finalist on Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner‘s season) seemed to have a promising future after leaving season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise. They even shared a video online after their elimination talking about “making new memories.” However, the former Prince inspiration isn’t certain she wants to take their relationship to the next level.
She shared that they stay in constant contact, during an August 2025 episode of Bachelor Happy Hour. “Gary is, truly, one of my closest friends,” she said. “I reach out to him when I’m struggling. He helps me calm down and get perspective, and we always support each other. We’ve got each other’s backs.”
Even though the distance – almost 2,000 miles, with her in Minnesota and him in California – makes things difficult, she remains optimistic. “For me, the most important part of any relationship, especially a romantic one, is building a friendship first,” she explained. “I want to grow old with my best friend.”
Status: Just friends
Golden Bachelorette‘s leading man, Kim Buike, connected with Faith Martin, who received the first impression rose from Gerry Turner. Despite being eliminated on season 10 of Paradise, the pair continued to date, with Faith sharing a video on Instagram in August 2025 showing Kim enjoying a date in her hometown of Washington.
Ultimately, they decided they were better suited as friends and weren’t meant to be a couple.
“We still talk two or three times a week,” Faith revealed in a September 2025 Instagram video. “He lives about five and a half hours away. But here’s the thing: we’re not in love. Not at all. We never actually fell in love, but we did have a strong connection on the show.”
Status: Split
Although Grant initially met 25 women on the first night of The Bachelor, he ultimately chose Juliana Pasquarosa as the recipient of his final rose. Sadly, the couple decided to end their relationship less than three months after their proposal was shown on television.
“This has been a difficult thing to share, but I want to be honest with everyone. Juliana and I have decided to break up,” Grant announced on his Instagram Story on June 13. “We both tried our best and truly cared for each other, but after having many serious talks, we realized we aren’t compatible in the long run.”
Status: Engaged
Following her appearance on the very first season of The Golden Bachelor – where she left Gerry Turner‘s season before the end – Joan Vassos became the one giving out the roses on the premiere season of The Golden Bachelorette. It was during this time that she met and became engaged to contestant Chock Chapple.
“We’re living proof that even when life gets tough, there’s always hope, no matter how old you are,” Joan shared on The Golden Bachelorette‘s November 2024 finale just before Chock proposed in Bora Bora. “I saved these words for this special moment, in this beautiful place, to tell you that I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up by your side every morning and kiss you goodnight.”
Status: Split
It seemed like Jenn Tran, who previously appeared on The Bachelor, was finding her happily ever after with Devin Strader during the season 21 finale of The Bachelorette. However, Jenn shared during the After the Final Rose special in September 2024 that Devin became distant as soon as filming wrapped up.
Oh my gosh, it was just… devastating! He was telling me he was so in love, making all these huge declarations, and then, like, overnight, it was as if it *never happened*! He just completely shut down. I was telling Jesse Palmer about it on the September 3rd episode, and it was so hard to even get the words out. He acted like all the promises he’d made – everything he said he wanted to share with *me*, all that love… it just vanished. It was like he completely erased it all. It was like none of it was ever there.
The situation escalated when Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram explaining his perspective. In the video, he took “accountability” and also detailed the reasons behind ending the relationship during a 15-minute phone call.
Jenn stated he ended their relationship during a phone call in August. However, he countered that Jenn pressed him to explain what was happening while he was attempting to tell her in person.
I was at a loss for what to do next,” he said, adding that he’d been wanting to share the news with her directly. “She left me with no choice but to tell her.
Following that, Jenn joined Dancing With the Stars and developed a close relationship with her dance partner Sasha Farber. They continued to dance as a pair even after being eliminated in October 2024, but eventually went their separate ways in 2025.

In November 2022, Greg Grippo-who had been a contestant on Katie Thurston‘s season of The Bachelorette the previous year-appeared on the season eight finale of Bachelor in Paradise with Victoria Fuller. During the show, they shared that they were dating. He later announced in April 2024 that they had broken up.
Status: Split
Before Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo revealed they were dating after the eighth season finale of Bachelor in Paradise, Victoria ended her engagement with fellow cast member Johnny DePhillipo.
Status: Divorced
Gerry and Theresa Nist became engaged in November 2023, during the final episode of the first season of Golden Bachelor, and then married in a televised ceremony in January 2024.
However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.
During an appearance on Good Morning America in April 2024, Gerry shared that Theresa and he had many honest and open talks, carefully considering their circumstances and where they lived. “We both agreed that it’s likely time for us to end our marriage,” he said.
They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.
As a big fan, I was so excited to hear Gerry share on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast back in April 2025 that he’d found someone special! He said things are “going well,” and honestly, that just makes me so happy for him. It’s great to see him finding love again!
Status: Engaged
After courting 32 potential brides, tennis pro Joey found his perfect match in project manager Kelsey Anderson. “I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” Joey told his final rose recipient, before getting down on one knee during his season’s March 2024 finale. “There is something about you. You have this infectious energy that makes me smile. It’s a feeling I’ve never had before.”
Imagining his forever with the Louisiana native, he continued, “I have known for a while that I’ve wanted to have a beautiful life, but I truly didn’t know how beautiful that life could be until I met you.”
Status: Split
Despite meeting around halfway through season nine of Bachelor in Paradise, underwater welder John Henry Spurlock (who competed for Charity Lawson’s affection) and nurse Kat (a contestant on Zach Shallcross’ season) quickly became serious. He proposed with a Neil Lane diamond, saying, “I’m going to try something a little different. I’m following my heart today. My heart’s telling me that you are amazing, you are everything that I’m looking for.”
However, shortly after the season finale, the couple announced their breakup. In a joint Instagram post, they explained, “While our paths are taking different directions due to our career goals not aligning, we are grateful for the love and support we’ve received from our family, friends, and Bachelor Nation.”
Status: Split
Even though she was anxious about a potential relationship after Paradise, Eliza Isichei (who previously dated Clayton Echard) joyfully said yes when Aaron Bryant proposed to her by the ocean. She was very moved that the software salesman had asked her mother for her approval, and admitted, “I knew I was not in control of what was going to come out of my mouth.”
The show also addressed that Charity’s former partner and marketing manager, Eliza, had experienced difficulties after returning from Mexico, and they later announced their engagement was over.
“Tricky emotions watching it all unfold,” Aaron shared on Instagram in December 2023. “We’re moving forward with our split with only good feelings and respect for each other.”
Status: Split
Postpartum nurse Kylee Russell expressed disappointment that boyfriend Aven Jones hadn’t proposed with a traditional kneeling gesture – something he had apparently been ready to do while pursuing Rachel Recchia on The Bachelorette – but she still accepted his proposal on Paradise to try and make their relationship work.
This meant she didn’t get to wear the engagement dress she’d planned, but she explained, “I just had to do what I felt was right. Love is all about taking risks.”
Just two days after the December 2023 finale aired, she revealed on Instagram that their relationship had ended because of multiple instances of cheating. Aven later apologized to Kylee, admitting, “I made serious mistakes in the relationship and hurt someone I cared about deeply.”
Status: Engaged
“I am happy with how this season turns out!” Charity Lawson shared with TopMob News, a comment that didn’t fully capture the excitement of her August 2023 finale. In a romantic moment, Dotun Olubeko, an integrative medicine specialist, got down on one knee and declared their love was “perfect,” then asked the child and family therapist, “Would you do me the honor of making this fairytale come true?”
Although their future together is just beginning-they’re planning a wedding in either 2025 or 2026-the Georgia native will first be showing off her moves on the Dancing With the Stars dance floor. “All right, baby,” Dotun told Charity on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose. “I know you love to have fun, dance, and let loose. We’ve talked about how incredible this opportunity would be, and I’m so excited to tell you that you’re going to be on Dancing With the Stars! Let’s do this!”
Status: Married
Zach will finally get the happy life he deserves. Even though he had some difficulties during the Fantasy Suite dates, Zach Shallcross proposed to Kaity Biggar in March 2023. He told the travel nurse, “I am so in love with you. You are my world. The love I feel for you is something I could have never imagined.”
In July 2023, the couple, who are based in Texas, took another big step forward, with Kaity announcing on Instagram, “Officially roommates.”
They got married on May 23, 2025, in what Kaity described as “a cute little chapel celebration.” Although they had originally envisioned a bigger wedding, “I realized we didn’t need all the fuss,” she shared on a June 2025 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “The most important thing about a wedding is to focus on our love and connection, and I was getting too caught up in minor details.”
Honestly, what really sealed the deal for me was the venue. My aunt, who signed me up to compete for Zach’s heart, actually found the beautiful chapel near Austin where we had the ceremony. As I told everyone, it was just perfect. Seriously, it felt like everything fell into place.

Fans were rooting for Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio after they met on season seven of BIP, but the couple has sadly gone their separate ways. Danielle previously lost her fiancé to a drug overdose, and Michael is a single dad to his 7-year-old son, James, whose mother passed away. They seemed like a perfect match and a potential Bachelor Nation success story.
However, a year after Danielle moved from Nashville to Ohio to be with Michael, he confirmed they had broken up. On a September 2023 episode of Jason Tartick‘s Trading Secrets podcast, Allio explained, “We both threw a lot into this relationship and it’s really awful when it doesn’t work out.” He continued, “When things don’t work out, when you realize that love is there, but you’re not necessarily compatible, you mourn the loss, not of just that person and that friend in your life, but also the future that you had envisioned.”
Ugh, can you believe it?! I was *so* invested in Brandon Jones and Serene Russell! I mean, he literally said, “I will love you until the end of time. I will love you until my last breath and I want to start forever with you,” when he proposed to his “best friend” on season seven of Paradise. It was the *most* romantic thing ever!
But then… everything fell apart. Just five months after we saw that beautiful proposal, they announced they were splitting in a statement! They said, “We have tried to work privately on our relationship which has been incredibly challenging in the public eye.” It broke my heart! Apparently, “This has been immensely hard to accept and painful, as there is a lot of love between the two of us. We are deeply hurting and can only ask that there be no hate.”
I mean, Brandon was a runner-up on Michelle Young‘s season, and Serene dated Clayton Echard… I really thought they’d make it! It’s just… devastating.

Pilot Rachel’s relationship with general contractor Tino Franco hit a roadblock when he kissed someone else while their season of the show was still being broadcast. He admitted on The Viall Files, “I completely regret my actions. It was wrong and unfair to Rachel, and I still feel terrible about it. I’m embarrassed and wish I could go back and handle things differently in countless ways.”
Status: Split
Well, it was certainly a journey. Susie Evans initially rejected Bachelor Clayton Echard‘s overtures during the 2022 finale only to reunite with him off-camera…and then split once again six months later.
But the L.A.-based videographer insists their breakup was for the right reasons. “The people around me could see that my sparkle had dulled and I was far from thriving,” she wrote in a November 2022 post for her blog “Susie Was Like.” She acknowledged they “had joyous moments often, but deep down I was struggling and felt misaligned with the best version of me.”
Susie then began dating Justin Glaze from Bachelor Nation, but they revealed they had split up in August 2024.

Elementary school teacher Michelle from Minnesota accepted a proposal from Nayte Olukoya, a sales executive from Texas, along with a $200,000 check from the show to help with a future home. However, the couple ultimately realized they weren’t a good match, announcing their breakup six months after their season finale aired in December 2021.
On The Viall Files, Nayte explained, “There were many highs and lows, lots of arguments, fights, and we just didn’t really connect or see eye-to-eye.” He also admitted that not having that final breakup conversation in person was “a dick move.”
Michelle began dating Jack Leius in 2023, and they got engaged the following year. They were married in Minnesota in June 2025.
Status: Split
Viewers fully got onboard with Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian‘s vision of a future filled with sweet Sunday mornings. But ultimately the BIP season seven duo only got a couple dozen weekends together.
“We have decided to go our separate ways,” patient coordinator Maurissa (who romanced Peter Weber) and attorney Riley (one of Tayshia Adams‘ suitors) announced in a joint January 2022 statement. “Never did we imagine this, but we’ve come to a point where we both need to work on ourselves.”
Status: Split
The first same-sex couple from Bachelor in Paradise got engaged during season six, but they revealed they had broken up in 2019 on Halloween.
Love and caring for each other have always been the most important things in our relationship. We’re focusing on what’s best for both of us. With a lot of love and sadness, we’ve decided to take some time apart,” they shared in a joint statement on Instagram. “We both want to be happy in the future, and right now, that means growing as individuals and being apart.”
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m still reeling! It’s official – Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer are actually going to make it! I was *so* worried when they broke up during season seven of BIP in Mexico, but thank goodness they realized what they had! They’re just perfect together! They started out in San Diego – remember how Noah competed for Tayshia’s heart and Abigail got Matt James‘ first impression rose?! – but get this: they just *bought a house*! In *Tulsa*! Abigail announced it on Instagram in July 2023, saying she’s about to enter her Chip and Joanna Gaines era – how cute is that?! She’s so excited to start their next chapter and make memories. And the best part? Noah proposed! It happened at a beachfront home in San Diego in August 2023. I’m seriously obsessed with these two!
Status: Married
Sometimes, a trial run isn’t a bad idea! While preparing their vows for September 2023, Serena Pitt (who was a finalist on Matt James’ season) and Joe Amabile (the Chicago grocery store owner who became well-known after Becca Kufrin sent him home on night one in 2018) decided to go ahead and get legally married at City Hall near their home in New York City, about a year after getting engaged on Paradise.
“JUST MARRIED!!” Serena, who now co-hosts the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with her husband, shared in an October 2022 video. “We’re still planning a wedding for this September, but who wouldn’t want to get married twice!”
Status: Married
“Mari, I am so in love with you,” boy band manager Kenny Braasch said while putting a Neil Lane diamond ring on Mari Pepin‘s finger during the 2021 Paradise finale. He added, “I truly can’t imagine my life without you.”
The Maryland beauty queen, who first caught the eye of Bachelor Matt, relocated to Kenny’s hometown of Chicago and began planning their future together. Before exchanging vows in a 65-person oceanfront ceremony in Puerto Rico in November 2023, they solidified their bond with matching tattoos during a trip to the Bahamas in May 2023.
Status: Married
Oh my gosh, I’m *still* obsessed with Thomas Jacobs and Becca! It all started on Bachelor in Paradise season seven back in 2021 – they had *so* much chemistry! It was a rollercoaster, though, because they actually broke up *on* the show! But thankfully, they found their way back to each other after filming ended.
Then, in May 2022, they announced they were engaged! And get this – Becca actually *proposed* to him! She told TopMob News she hoped it would empower others to break the mold, which is just *so* her! Of course, he returned the favor later that October. And then, in September 2023, their little boy, Benson, arrived! Becca posted on Instagram that no words could describe how much love they have for him, and it was the sweetest thing ever.
And honestly, she’s completely smitten with her 6-foot-6 guy! Just weeks after Benson was born, they had a totally spontaneous wedding ceremony on October 13th! It was perfect, and I’m living for their love story!

During the 2021 finale of The Bachelorette‘s seventeenth season, Katie became engaged to Blake Moynes. They initially revealed their feelings for each other during a memorable overnight date that included a paintball game, a relaxing soak in a cowboy tub, and a heartfelt conversation while stargazing.
As he knelt, Blake told Katie, “You deserve everything good in life, and I’m thrilled to encourage you and be by your side from now on.”
Just three months after they got engaged on television, the couple announced they were separating. In similar statements, they shared, “We truly appreciate the wonderful times we’ve had and everything that’s happened this year, but we’ve realized we aren’t meant to be together long-term. We believe it’s the kindest thing for both of us to go our separate ways.”
She has since married comedian Jeff Arcuri.
