Bachelorette Ashley Hebert Details Stress in J.P. Rosenbaum Marriage

Ashley Hebert was not going to let her rose petals wither for J.P. Rosenbaum

Oh my gosh, it’s been six years since they split, and I’ve been following everything! Finally, she’s talking about when she truly knew it was over. I’m dying to hear what she has to say – it feels like forever we’ve all been wondering what went wrong!

During an April 9th podcast interview on iHeartRadio’s I Do, Part 2, Ashley explained she believed her stressful marriage was severely impacting her health. She mentioned research suggesting women often internalize stress, which can contribute to autoimmune diseases, and expressed her fear that the relationship would ultimately be detrimental to her well-being, saying, “This marriage is gonna kill me.”

Although Ashley—mother to Fordham, 11, and Essex, 9, with J.P.—felt very upset during the last part of her marriage, she wanted to make it clear she wasn’t trying to be disrespectful to her former husband.

“We talk all the time,” she assured. “I’ll even tell him I said this.”

Ashley explained that she and her husband decided to divorce after eight years together, believing it was the best thing for their kids.

She explained she made the decision to prioritize her own well-being and health, and to ensure she could be there for her children for a long time.

Before Ashley and J.P. separated in 2020, they attempted to work through their issues with couples therapy.

She thought they both genuinely wanted to find a solution to the problems. She said she really did, and believed he felt the same way.

Even though she was feeling awful, Ashley—who first met J.P. while filming The Bachelorette in 2012—wondered if the issues in their relationship were common for couples.

Ultimately, the former couple were on the same page when it came to ending their romance.

She explained that being in an unhealthy relationship negatively impacts children. Remaining in a stressful and unhappy situation is also harmful to them.

Ashley believed that if a marriage becomes unhealthy and both partners have genuinely tried to fix it, then divorce is an acceptable option.

Before The Golden Bachelor even started airing, Mel Owen faced some criticism. He appeared on the MGoBlue Podcasts With Jon Jansen and stated he wouldn’t pursue women over 60, and preferred they didn’t have artificial hips or wigs.

Although his longtime partner, Peg Munson, is also in her sixties, their relationship is full of energy and excitement. The former NFL player described her to Glamour as being incredibly “high-energy.”

Even though he didn’t kneel during his final game in November 2025, the athlete—who is also a lawyer—still proposed with a Neil Lane diamond ring, explaining, “This symbolizes our dedication to each other and gives us the space to build our future together.”

Status: Engaged

Spencer Conley, who made a good impression on Jenn Tran with his friendly personality during The Bachelorette, found a connection on season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise. In August 2025, he shared a post with Jess Edwards (who previously tried to win over Joey Graziadei on The Bachelor) hinting that they were falling for each other—a common way of saying they weren’t quite ready to say “I love you.” Spencer jokingly declared on Instagram that he’d “already won.”

Okay, seriously, did you SEE Jess’s post?! She basically admitted she’s totally obsessed with him too! She wrote, ‘just feeling a lil giddy about this man & whatnot,’ and I’m like, YES! Finally, someone gets it! I’m feeling the same way, honestly. It’s amazing!

They were overjoyed to choose each other over the $250,000 prize, and their happiness continued when they got engaged and received an unexpected check for $190,000.

“Everything that we’ve been through,” Jess said, “has led us to this exact moment.”

Their relationship eventually brought Jess to Dallas. She shared during Mel’s “After the Finale Rose” special in November 2025 that she would be moving to Texas within a few weeks.

Status: Dating

Bailey Taylor Brown shared on Instagram in August 2025 that her date with Jeremy Simon was the best first date she’d ever had, after taking him out during the tenth season of Paradise. But could it also be their last? Bailey, who originally competed for Grant Ellis’s affection, and Jeremy, who almost won the heart of Jenn on The Bachelorette, recently overcame their biggest fight yet when Bailey discovered Jeremy had hesitated about sending Susie Evans home.

Their romance continued to blossom during their time in Costa Rica. Even though they didn’t make it to the end of Bachelor in Paradise, they decided to keep dating after the show. They’ve already met each other’s families and are making plans to live in the same city.

I was so touched when Bailey shared on Instagram back in September 2025 how grateful she was that we found each other. She said she was incredibly excited about our future together, and honestly, that just warmed my heart!

Status: Dating

It looks like things are still going strong between Andrew Spencer, from Katie Thurston’s season of Paradise, and Alexe Godin, who appeared on Grant’s season. Just six days after Andrew publicly called Alexe his “love” on Instagram in August 2025, she returned the sweet sentiment, calling him her “darling” in a post of her own.

Even though they picked love instead of the $250,000 prize on the Bachelor in Paradise finale, they still received $125,000.

“This is incredible,” Alexe said. “I’m leaving with money, but more importantly, with love.”

The show will follow Alexe and Andrew as they start a new chapter together in Chicago, where Alexe is moving to join Andrew.

In September 2025, she shared on Instagram that she’d found someone who’s just as quirky as she is, and she’s excited to build a life with them.

Status: Split

During the “Bachelor in Paradise” finale, things got tense for Kat Izzo and Dale Moss when Sean McLaughlin claimed Kat had hidden a laptop and was secretly corresponding with a former boyfriend through letters. Kat, who works as a nurse practitioner, firmly denied contacting her ex while on the show.

She asked if she and her ex were still together before this happened. He replied that they were, explaining he hadn’t expected to meet anyone new.

Even though Kat and Dale didn’t make it to the final test on Paradise, their relationship continued to grow. The show later revealed that the two—Kat, who was previously on Zach Shallcross’ season, and Dale, a former contestant from Clare Crawley’s season—traveled around the U.S. together and started making plans for their future, including potentially moving closer to each other.

Dale wrote under Kat’s August 2025 Instagram post that things were difficult at times, but they got through it together, and he wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

But their journey came to a close in early 2026.

Kat mentioned on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast in January that he wasn’t willing to move from New York City.

She said he didn’t see a future for his career in San Diego. She admitted she never fully understood his reasons for leaving, and wasn’t sure what motivated his decision.

Status: Just friends—for now

After leaving season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, Gary Levingston and Leslie Fhima (who was a finalist on Golden Bachelor) seemed to be hitting it off, even posting about creating new memories together. However, Leslie, who once inspired musician Prince, isn’t sure if she wants to pursue a romantic relationship with Gary.

She shared that she and Gary talk constantly. Appearing on Bachelor Happy Hour in August 2025, she described him as one of her closest friends – someone she can always rely on for support and advice. They’re always there for each other and have each other’s backs.

Even though they live far apart – she’s in Minnesota and he’s in California – she’s still optimistic about their connection. She explained that, for her, the most important part of any relationship, especially a romantic one, is building a strong friendship first. She wants to be with someone she considers her best friend as they grow older.

Status: Just friends

Kim Buike, a frontrunner on Golden Bachelorette, has found love with Faith Martin, who received the first impression rose from Gerry Turner. Despite being eliminated on season 10 of Paradise, the pair are still together. In August 2025, Faith shared a video on Instagram showing Kim enjoying a date in her hometown of Washington.

In the end, they realized they were better suited as friends than as a couple.

In a September 2025 Instagram video, Faith explained that she and the other person talk about two or three times a week, despite living five and a half hours apart. She clarified that they’re not in a romantic relationship, and never were. They simply had a strong connection while filming the show.

Grant initially connected with 25 women on The Bachelor, but ultimately chose Juliana Pasquarosa. Sadly, the couple broke up less than three months after their proposal was shown on television.

Grant announced on Instagram on June 13th that he and Juliana have decided to break up. He explained that they both tried their best and cared deeply for each other, but after careful consideration, they realized they weren’t compatible for the future.

Joan Vassos found love after appearing on The Golden Bachelor and then becoming the first-ever Golden Bachelorette. During her season, she connected with Chock Chapple and they got engaged.

During the November 2024 finale of The Golden Bachelorette, Joan shared a message of hope, saying, ‘We’re proof that even later in life, things can still work out.’ Moments before being proposed to by Chock in Bora Bora, she told him, ‘I’ve waited for this incredible moment to tell you that I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you—waking up with you every morning and falling asleep with a kiss every night.’

Even though they’re currently in a long-distance relationship, they’re gradually starting to plan their future together.

Joan explained in a February 2026 Instagram Q&A that she and her partner are planning their 2027 wedding around their children’s schedules. Since their kids are also starting to plan their own weddings, they want to avoid scheduling conflicts and choose a date when everyone can celebrate together.

During the season 21 finale of The Bachelorette, it seemed like Jenn Tran, who previously appeared on The Bachelor, had found love with Devin Strader. However, Jenn shared during the After the Final Rose special in September 2024 that Devin distanced himself from her immediately after filming ended.

Jenn explained to Jesse Palmer that he had strongly declared his love for her, but the very next day acted as if those feelings never existed. She said all the promises and affection he’d expressed were suddenly gone.

The situation escalated when Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram explaining his perspective. In the video, he took responsibility for his actions and detailed the reasons behind their breakup, which he had initially discussed in a 15-minute phone call.

Jenn said he ended their relationship during a phone call in August, but he insists she pressed him about what was happening while he was trying to tell her in person.

He said he’d been wanting to tell her face-to-face, but she pushed him to reveal it sooner than he’d planned. He felt like he had no other choice.

Jenn then met Sasha Farber on Dancing With the Stars, and they became partners both on and off the dance floor. Although they were eliminated from the show in October 2024, they continued dancing together for a while before ultimately splitting up in 2025.

Greg Grippo, who appeared on Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, started dating Victoria Fuller from Bachelor in Paradise in November 2022. They announced their relationship on the season eight finale of Bachelor in Paradise, but Greg shared in April 2024 that they had broken up.

Before Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo revealed they were dating on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise, Victoria had broken up with her Bachelor in Paradise co-star, Johnny DePhillipo, ending their engagement.

Gerry Nist and Theresa Nist got engaged in November 2023 at the end of the first season of The Golden Bachelor, and they were married in a televised ceremony in January 2024. They are now divorced.

However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.

Gerry and Theresa have been having open and honest conversations about their relationship and living arrangements. In an appearance on Good Morning America in April 2024, they announced they’ve mutually decided to get a divorce.

They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.

In April 2025, Gerry shared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that he’s seeing someone and things are progressing nicely.

Tennis star Joey has found love! After dating 32 women, he proposed to project manager Kelsey Anderson during the March 2024 season finale. He told Kelsey, “I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” before getting down on one knee. He was captivated by her positive energy, saying it was a feeling he’d never experienced before. Joey shared that meeting Kelsey showed him just how beautiful life could be, and he’s excited to build a future with her.

John Henry Spurlock, who competed for Charity Lawson’s affection, and Kat Izzo, a contestant from Zach Shallcross’ season, found a connection on season nine of Bachelor in Paradise, but their romance didn’t last. John Henry proposed with a Neil Lane diamond, telling Kat she was everything he was looking for. However, shortly after the season finale, they announced their split. In a joint statement on Instagram, they explained that their differing career goals led them to realize they weren’t a long-term match, but they remained thankful for the support they received from family, friends, and fans of The Bachelor franchise.

Eliza Isichei, who previously dated Clayton Echard, is engaged! Despite initial anxieties about finding love again after Paradise, she said yes to Aaron Bryant’s proposal on the beach. She was especially touched that Aaron asked her mother for her blessing beforehand, admitting she was overcome with emotion.

However, their engagement didn’t last. The show revealed that Eliza and Aaron had experienced difficulties after returning from filming, and they later confirmed their split. They announced in December 2023 that they were ending things amicably, with both expressing positivity and respect for each other.

Despite previously expressing disappointment that boyfriend Aven Jones hadn’t proposed in a traditional way—something he had apparently been ready to do on The Bachelorette with Rachel Recchia—Kylee Russell accepted his proposal at the end of Paradise to try and make their relationship work. While she had already picked out an engagement dress, she felt she needed to follow her heart, believing that love requires taking chances.

However, just two days after the season finale aired in December 2023, Kylee announced on social media that the relationship had ended due to Aven’s cheating. Aven later apologized to Kylee, admitting he had made serious mistakes and hurt her deeply.

Charity Lawson is thrilled with how her season of The Bachelorette ended! She hinted to TopMob News that things were going well, but her August 2023 finale was even more exciting than she let on. Dotun Olubeko, an integrative medicine specialist, proposed to Charity, a child and family therapist, getting down on one knee and calling their love “perfect.” He then asked her to marry him and make their relationship a reality.

Although they’re planning a wedding for 2025 or 2026, Charity will first be hitting the dance floor on Dancing With the Stars. Dotun surprised her with the news on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, excitedly telling her he knew how much she loved to dance and that he was thrilled she’d be joining the show.

Zach Shallcross proposed to Kaity Biggar at the end of season 27 in March 2023, despite some challenges during the Fantasy Suites. He told Kaity, a travel nurse, that he loved her deeply and she was his world. In July 2023, the couple, who are based in Texas, announced they had moved in together.

Kaity and her partner got married on May 23, 2025, in a small, intimate chapel ceremony. They had originally envisioned a bigger wedding, but Kaity realized it wasn’t necessary. As she shared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast in June 2025, she felt the most important thing was to focus on their love and connection, and she’d gotten too caught up in the minor details.

However, one thing especially impressed her. The aunt who signed her up to compete for Zach’s affection had discovered the charming chapel near Austin where they held the ceremony. “It was exactly what I’d hoped for,” Kaity shared.

Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio, who seemed like a promising couple after meeting on Bachelor in Paradise, have broken up. Despite a strong connection – Danielle had previously experienced loss through her fiancé’s passing, and Michael is a single father to his son James – the pair split after about a year of Danielle moving to Ohio to be with him. Michael explained on a podcast that while they loved each other, they weren’t compatible, and he’s grieving the loss of the future they had planned together.

Brandon Jones proposed to Serene Russell on season seven of Paradise, telling her he would love her forever. However, their relationship didn’t last. Just five months after getting engaged on the show, the couple announced their split in a May 2023 Instagram post. They explained that trying to work through their issues publicly had been very difficult and that, despite their love for each other, the breakup was incredibly painful. They asked for privacy and kindness during this difficult time. Brandon had previously competed for Michelle Young’s affection, while Serene had dated Clayton Echard.

Pilot Rachel and general contractor Tino Franco ended their engagement after he kissed someone else while their season of the show was still airing. Tino later admitted on the podcast The Viall Files that he deeply regrets his actions. He said he doesn’t excuse what he did, that it was unfair to Rachel, and that he still feels ashamed and wishes he could have handled things differently.

Susie Evans and Clayton Echard’s relationship, which began on the 2022 season of The Bachelor, had a complicated journey. After Susie initially turned Clayton down during the finale, they briefly reconnected, but ultimately broke up six months later. Susie, a videographer based in Los Angeles, has explained that the split was necessary for her own well-being. In a blog post, she shared that she wasn’t truly happy in the relationship, despite having some good times, and felt she needed to prioritize her own personal growth.

Susie then started dating Justin Glaze from Bachelor Nation, but they ended their relationship in August 2024.

Michelle, an elementary school teacher from Minnesota, received a proposal and a $200,000 check for a future home from Nayte Olukoya, a sales executive from Texas, after appearing on a reality show. However, the couple ended their relationship just six months after the show’s finale in December 2021, realizing they weren’t a good long-term match. Nayte later admitted on a podcast that while they had many disagreements, breaking up without an in-person conversation was a mistake.

Michelle later began dating Jack Leius in 2023, and they became engaged the following year. They were married in Minnesota in June 2025.

Fans were really rooting for Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian as a couple, imagining a happy future together. However, their relationship from season seven of BIP only lasted a short time – just a few weekends. In January 2022, Maurissa, who previously dated Peter Weber, and Riley, who competed for Tayshia Adams’ heart, announced they were breaking up. They shared in a statement that they both needed to focus on personal growth and hadn’t expected things to end this way.

Status: Split

The first same-sex couple from Bachelor in Paradise got engaged during season six, but they revealed they had broken up in 2019 on Halloween.

We’ve always loved and cared for each other, and doing what’s best for both of us has always been our top priority. With a lot of love and sadness, we’ve decided to take a break and focus on ourselves. We believe this is the best path forward for both of us in the long run, allowing us to grow as individuals.

Despite a breakup during season seven of Bachelor in Paradise, Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer realized they were meant to be together. After initially living in San Diego, the couple recently bought a house in Noah’s hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Abigail announced the exciting news on Instagram in July 2023, saying they’re ready to start a new chapter – which includes wedding planning! Noah proposed to Abigail in August 2023 at a beach house in San Diego.

Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, who first connected on reality TV, secretly tied the knot in October 2022! The couple – Serena was a finalist on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor, and Joe, known as the ‘Grocery Store Joe,’ originally appeared on Becca Kufrin’s season – decided to have a small ceremony at City Hall in New York City about a year after getting engaged on Bachelor in Paradise. They’re still planning a larger wedding for September 2023. Serena shared the news on social media, joking that ‘who doesn’t want to get married twice!’ She now co-hosts the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with her husband.

Kenny Braasch proposed to Mari Pepin with a Neil Lane diamond ring during the 2021 finale of Paradise, declaring his deep love for her and saying he couldn’t imagine life without her. Mari, a Maryland beauty queen who first appeared on The Bachelor, then moved to Chicago to be with Kenny and begin planning their future together. Before their November 2023 wedding – a 65-guest ceremony held in Puerto Rico – the couple solidified their commitment with matching tattoos during a May 2023 trip to the Bahamas. Kenny was previously eliminated from Paradise by Tayshia Adams in week five.

Status: Married

Becca Kufrin, who starred on The Bachelorette, and Thomas Jacobs, a former contestant on Katie Thurston’s season, found love on season seven of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021. They briefly broke up during filming but got back together after the show ended.

In May 2022, they announced their engagement, revealing that Becca had proposed. She told TopMob News she hoped their unconventional approach would empower others to break tradition. Thomas returned the proposal in October of the same year. In September 2023, they welcomed their son, Benson, with Becca sharing on Instagram that they were overwhelmed with love for him.

Just weeks after Benson’s birth, the couple had a surprise wedding ceremony on October 13th.
