As a seasoned cinephile who’s seen more action films than I care to count, the Ballerina trailer has piqued my interest in a way that few previews have managed recently. The John Wick franchise has been a standout in the genre, and this spin-off seems poised to continue that trend with its talented cast and promising premise.
The John Wick series has achieved remarkable success by consistently breaking a seldom-seen record: each subsequent film has grossed more money worldwide than its predecessor. Now, we’re venturing into spin-off territory with the unveiling of the Ballerina trailer featuring Ana de Armas, who impressed as the newly trained South American secret agent in ‘No Time to Die’, giving 007 a tough challenge.
In the storyline of “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum”, we find ourselves following the journey of Eve Macarro, a character portrayed by Ana de Armas, as she embarks on her initiation into the secretive assassin practices of the Ruska Roma.
Featured alongside Ana de Armas are Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, along with Ian McShane and none other than Keanu Reeves. Ballerina is helmed by director Len Wiseman, who masterfully crafted the action sequences in Die Hard 4.
BALLERINA debuts across the UK on 6th June 2025.
