Wargaming has shared that they are retiring the game called Steel Hunters. This means the game servers will continue to operate for approximately 90 days, which should take us close to October 8th.
Starting early access on April 2nd for PC, the game Steel Hunters emphasizes mech-style combat, allowing players to choose and personalize Hunters from various factions. In these matches, players engage in battles against AI adversaries, climbing ranks and acquiring modules as rewards. However, they also have the option to engage with other players in combat.
Wargaming has decided to retire the game, not giving a specific reason other than determining that further development is no longer feasible. We understand this isn’t the news you were hoping for, and we feel your sadness as well. In addition to maintaining the servers active for the next three months, they are making all Hunter characters (including some new options) accessible to everyone.
In the upcoming weeks, we’ll be introducing custom game support as well. Additionally, we plan to organize a farewell tournament; further information about this event can be found on our Discord channel soon.
