As a long-time fan who grew up playing these iconic games, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the return of Banjo-Tooie to the Nintendo Switch! Back in my day, I remember waiting patiently for my turn on the family N64 to tackle those jungle puzzles and collect every last Jigglywump. Now, with this latest announcement, I’ll soon be able to revisit those nostalgic moments on my trusty Switch!
It’s unclear how Nintendo will extend their Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service as they approach the next generation of consoles, but for now, they are definitely adding more classic games to their collection. In fact, another popular N64 game is expected to be released soon.
Via Twitter, Nintendo shared that the beloved N64 platform game “Banjo-Tooie” is set to arrive on their service. The game will be accessible to those who have a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack towards the end of October, on the 25th.
Indeed, due to the collaborative work between Rare and Microsoft, the game has been playable on contemporary Xbox systems for a number of years. Now, however, the original Nintendo fanbase also has the opportunity to revisit it on their preferred platform.
You can now enjoy the classic game “Banjo-Kazooie” on the Nintendo Switch through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. This means that the renowned platforming duo from Rare is now completely playable on this console.
