
The latest firmware update mainly focuses on bringing an improved PSSR feature to the PS5 Pro, though the standard PS5 will also receive some benefits.
So, if you’ve got a regular PS5, there’s a new system update you should download. Once it’s installed, you’ll notice a cool new feature on the home screen called Showcase Mode in the Welcome Hub. It’s pretty neat!
You can find a setting that allows your chosen background to fill the screen when your PS5 is inactive. Plus, there’s a Slideshow Mode that automatically cycles through a selection of images. You can see how it works in the demonstration linked below.
