Electronic Arts reported that *Battlefield 6* sold over seven million copies within its first three days, making it the most successful launch in the *Battlefield* series’ history. They initially predicted sales would exceed 6.5 million copies.
The game series recently hit a record high in sales, and players have jumped in with over 172 million matches played. Viewers have also spent a massive 15 million hours watching the game on streaming platforms.
Battlefield Studios General Manager Bryon Beede recently thanked players for their support in a press release. He explained that *Battlefield 6* was created with fans in mind, and that player feedback was crucial throughout the entire process – from the first ideas to features like Battlefield Labs and the hugely successful Open Beta. Beede stated the team’s main goal was to make the best *Battlefield* game possible, and that they’re excited to launch their first season of new content in just 12 days.
Vince Zampella, head of Battlefield Studios, shared his thanks, saying, “We’re incredibly grateful to our team at Battlefield Studios and to our amazing community for their support. We really appreciate you being here for the exciting launch of Battlefield 6, and we have plenty more planned for the coming weeks.”
