The team behind the next *Battlefield* game is listening to player feedback and aiming to deliver the varied content many felt was missing at launch. After the challenges with *Battlefield 2042*, they’re focusing on a return to the series’ core strengths. The new game promises large-scale warfare with a full arsenal of vehicles like jets, tanks, and helicopters – bringing back the exciting, over-the-top action that fans have been waiting for.
The game’s release is only the first step. The developers have already shared plans for the first season of new content, including two fresh maps and a variety of weapons. This means players won’t have to wait long for updates, giving them reasons to return each month. It’s a way to keep the game competitive, but the roadmap doesn’t cover everything fans are hoping for. Some classic *Battlefield* features are currently missing, and players are eager to find out if and when they’ll be added back in.
Battlefield 6 Teases Little Birds, Naval Warfare, and More
Battlefield Studios recently shared an update with fans, letting them know they’ve been listening to player feedback. Many players have expressed a desire for features like Little Bird helicopters, naval combat, and the return of Platoons – Battlefield’s system for grouping players into clans with unique emblems. While not confirmed, it appears these features are either planned or being considered for a future update to *Battlefield 6*.
The team is already planning content beyond the current Seasons, using data from Battlefield Labs and player feedback to develop new ideas, including a unique Battlefield version of Battle Royale. They’ve also heard requests for features like naval combat, the return of a popular small helicopter, and the addition of platoons, and are considering them for future updates.
Players who enjoy the *Battlefield* series have been hoping for the return of “levolution”—the dynamic map changes first seen in *Battlefield 4*. This feature allowed players to dramatically alter the environment during matches, like destroying buildings or flooding areas. While the latest *Battlefield* game doesn’t have levolution to the same extent, the developers have said they’re listening to player feedback and might add it back in a future update.
There’s a lot of talk about a battle royale mode for *Battlefield 6* potentially launching near the end of October, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed. The developers might be saving it as a post-launch announcement to keep the focus on the main game. Either way, it looks like it’s almost ready, and fans likely won’t have to wait much longer to try it out.
What features do you want to see added to Battlefield 6? Let me know in the comments.
