Over the weekend, I found myself part of an epic gaming milestone as Battlefield 6‘s open beta soared past me! According to SteamDB, a whopping 521,079 gamers were simultaneously playing this game at its peak! The excitement was palpable as more players jumped in, making it possible for everyone to join the fun. It seems the weekend and the broadened access truly ignited our collective gaming spirit!
During its open beta, Electronic Arts announced that the number of participants surpassed Call of Duty’s all-time high on the platform (491,670), making it the largest in the franchise’s history. Consequently, they also alerted players to expect queues due to the impending peak time.
We’re still figuring out when players can join the game during the Open Beta, so please bear with us while we arrange it. Our goal is to ensure a seamless and fair experience for all participants, even those who are already playing.
In the open beta, you’ll find three out of the nine maps (Siege of Cairo, Iberian Offensive, and Liberation Peak) that will be featured in the complete game. Alongside Domination and Breakthrough, players can also enjoy Conquest and Closed Weapons Conquest modes. Plus, there’s an opportunity to level up your weapons and acquire new attachments for them!
On October 10th, “Battlefield 6” is scheduled to release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. The beta version of the game will make its comeback starting August 14th, running until August 17th. Keep an eye out for further updates, especially regarding the upcoming Battle Royale mode in “Battlefield,” which is set to be introduced in “Battlefield” Labs soon.
The upcoming Battlefield open beta is its largest yet. As the peak time nears, queues are likely to form. We’re diligently working on managing entry times into the game, but we ask for your understanding as you may have to wait for your turn. Our aim is to ensure a seamless and fair experience for all participants during this open beta.
