On Steam, which is the only place we can find public player numbers, our test has drawn in a maximum of 521,000 players simultaneously when this report was written. This puts it among the top three most popular games on the platform.
It’s clear that the beta version is available for free download, which could be beneficial. However, not all open betas draw such large crowds as this one. To put it gently, if you were to inquire about these numbers from Concord, they might tell a similar story.
Indeed, those Steam figures merely offer a tiny slice of the overall picture. We’re unaware of the test’s performance on the PS5, but remarkably, it’s currently the top pre-ordered game on the PlayStation Store in North America, trailing only behind EA Sports FC 26 in Europe.
Although the Battlefield community usually leans towards PC gaming, it’s reasonable to anticipate a substantial number of players for the beta due to its popularity. A developer has suggested that we should not solely rely on Steam concurrent users, since the game performs exceptionally well on the PlayStation 5.
One advantage is that you’ll receive a special reward if you join the Battlefield 6 beta test on PlayStation.
