
The first photos from the new BBC drama, Dear England, featuring Joseph Fiennes and Jodie Whittaker, have been released.
This four-episode series is adapted from the award-winning play by James Graham and tells the story of Sir Gareth Southgate’s attempt to bring a major championship win to England.
The recently released photos show Ralph Fiennes reprising his acclaimed role as Gareth Southgate, alongside Jodie Whittaker as team psychologist Pippa Grange and Will Antenbring portraying Harry Kane.
The cast also features Jason Watkins, known for his roles in “The Game” and “The Crown,” as Greg Dyke, the former chairman of the Football Association. Daniel Ryan, who has appeared in “The Bay” and “The Hack,” plays Steve Holland, who used to be an assistant manager for the England national team.

Sam Spruell, known for his roles in “The Gold” and “Fargo,” portrays the character of coach Mike Webster. John Hodgkinson, who appeared in “Small Axe” and “Life After Life,” returns to play Greg Clarke, the former chairman of the Football Association.
The England squad will feature Adam Hugill (as Harry Maguire), Josh Barrow (as Jordan Pickford), and newcomer Lewis Shepherd (as Dele Alli), all reprising their roles from the stage production.

The cast includes Edem-Ita Duke as Marcus Rashford, Francis Lovehall as Raheem Sterling, Abdul Sessay as Bukayo Saka, Jacob Greenway as Jude Bellingham, and David Shields as Jordan Henderson.
The cast also includes Hamish Frew (Generation Z) as Eric Dier, Alfie Middlemiss (Waterloo Road) as Phil Foden, Riess Fennell (The Football Fantastics) as Jadon Sancho, Daniel Quincy Annoh (The Recruit) as Ollie Watkins, and Bobby Schofield (Unforgivable) as Wayne Rooney. New to the project, Dom Rayner and Alexander Parsons will portray Cole Palmer and Jesse Lingard, respectively.
