Becky G Addresses “Pain” of Sebastian Lletget Cheating Rumors

For the first time, singer Becky G is speaking out about the cheating allegations involving her fiancé, Sebastian Lletget, which surfaced two years ago after he publicly apologized.

In her new documentary, Rebecca, Becky shared that she was 19 and Sebastian was 23 when they first met. She added that neither of them was looking for a relationship, and it was a unique experience for both of them, according to People magazine.

After six years of dating, the couple announced their engagement in December 2022. However, just four months later, rumors surfaced alleging Sebastian had been unfaithful to Becky. The resulting public attention was difficult for Becky, who is an artist, to deal with.

Honestly, hearing her say that just got me. It’s like, everyone keeps saying ‘you knew what you were getting into,’ but she’s so right! She didn’t sign up for any of this mess, and what really matters is what actually happened when no one was watching – that’s the real story, and it’s heartbreaking to hear her say it’s all she has left.

The 28-year-old explained that it felt difficult to talk about the scandal, especially after experiencing so much hurt already.

Becky explained that the most difficult thing was people mistaking her quietness for a lack of strength. She believes that words aren’t enough to fix the situation—only meaningful actions will make a difference.

Although Billie Eilish didn’t directly say whether she and Sebastian are still together, the movie concluded with a shot of a man resembling the soccer player, shown from behind, as she thought about the people she wants in her life.

She explained that the people who truly belong in your life aren’t defined by whether they come or go, but by their willingness to grow alongside you.

“We have to give up,” Becky said. “Things will never go back to how they were, and I think that’s exactly what needs to happen.”

At a holiday party in 2019, Sebastian announced he’d already gotten the best gift possible, jokingly saying he’d been “blessed by St. Nick.”

Sebastian shared a sweet message on Instagram, praising the women in his life. He wrote, “Appreciation post, because you’re all truly amazing.”
