Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror, a beloved classic in the point-and-click adventure genre, is getting a remastered version for PlayStation 5 in early 2026.
This marks the second time Revolution Software has updated a classic game from the beloved Broken Sword series. They previously released an updated version of ‘Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars’ about a year ago.
The recent remaster was a huge hit with players, so we anticipate the upcoming release of Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror Reforged – now simply titled ‘The Smoking Mirror’ – will be just as good.

We were really impressed with Shadow of the Templars Reforged. In our review, we said it’s one of the best remasters available, and we gave it a score of 9 out of 10.
The game is getting a visual upgrade with significantly improved 4K graphics, and players can switch back to the original appearance if they prefer. It will also feature enhanced audio, a redesigned menu system, optional hints for puzzles, and a bunch of extra content.
Do you enjoy the Broken Sword series? If you’ve tried the first ‘Reforged’ game, tell us where you’d go on an adventure in the comments!
