A final head of household has been chosen for the Big Brother season 27.
I was absolutely thrilled to watch the finale of the reality competition on September 28th! It was amazing to see Ashley Hollis take the win against Morgan Pope and Vince Panaro. She really earned it with a 6-1 vote over Vince! As a dedicated fan, I was so happy for her winning the $750,000 prize. And even though he didn’t win, I was glad to see Vince Panaro take home $75,000 as the runner-up-he definitely deserved something for making it so far!
I was on the edge of my seat during the finale! It all started with Ashley, who’s only 25, absolutely crushing it in the final Head of Household competition. This meant she got to decide who went home, and sadly, it was Morgan. But the biggest move was choosing Vince to join her in the final two – talk about a power player! I knew then it was going to be a nail-biter!
After that, the final jury – made up of former players from season 27 including Morgan, Ava Pearl, Rachel Reilly, Clifton “Will” Williams, Kelley Jorgensen, Lauren Domingue and Keanu Soto – decided who would win. Everyone voted for Ashley except for Morgan, who cast his vote for Vince.
Ashley’s victory this season surprised many longtime fans. She hadn’t won a Head of Household competition until the very last one, and she was involved in a controversy-dubbed “showergate”-right from the beginning of the show.
It’s true that the lawyer annoyed other contestants by spending a very long time in the shower in Vince’s room during the first episode, shortly after winning Head of Household.
“I didn’t let that setback discourage me,” Ashley explained during the final episode, sharing that the controversy was actually part of her plan. “I focused on playing the game, saved myself from being eliminated, won the first Power of Veto, and completely shifted how my game was going.”
Ashley and Vince weren’t the only contestants from season 27 to leave the Big Brother house with a prize. Keanu, though eliminated on day 77, was voted by viewers as America’s Favorite Houseguest, winning him $50,000. While Rachel and Will reached the final three, Keanu captured over 65 percent of the final audience vote.

During the finale, former Big Brother houseguests Frankie Grande, Jessie Godderz and Eric Stein were unmasked as the Big Brother Masterminds. They explained they were seeking payback for being unexpectedly eliminated in past seasons.
As a huge fan, I’m still a little sad that the latest season of Big Brother is over! But don’t worry, I’m already looking for my next TV obsession, and I wanted to share some recommendations with you to add to your watchlist.
