The start of Big Brother Season 27 is nearly here, and although the team is working tirelessly to preserve its secrets, past Houseguests could be undermining their efforts. I had been hoping that the 17th mystery Houseguest wouldn’t be a former player, but if Joseph Abdin from Season 24 isn’t joking, he may have spoiled the identity of the new player by mistake.
Prior to the 90-minute debut on CBS and Paramount+, Abdin connected with his previous Big Brother housemates using Chat BCC, an app that lets ex-contestants establish group chats about Big Brother on a public platform where fans can follow along and respond to their discussions. Interestingly, it appears Joseph missed the memo about keeping conversations public, as he quickly revealed an alleged email from CBS hinting at former Season 13 winner Rachel Reilly being the secret housemate.
Here’s a screenshot of the convo:
Is Joseph being sincere or merely playful with his recent action? Given some past Houseguests have podcasts related to the show and might receive updates, it’s plausible for him to have received that particular notification as well.
It’s curious if he really couldn’t remove his message. I managed to delete some of my own posts on the same platform, but it’s worth noting that the group chat system the Houseguests are utilizing appears to be configured uniquely.
It’s possible that his comment was meant as a joke or tease, given its widespread attention following a viral spread over the past day or so, and it still appears to be there at the time of this writing.

The Internet Was Onto Rachel Reilly Regardless Of Whether This Leak Is Legit
It seems that fans of Big Brother have narrowed down their guesses for the 17th Houseguest of Season 27, and at this stage, they strongly suspect it’s Rachel. The show’s official Instagram account has shared several hints suggesting her famous phrase, “Floaters grab a life vest,” and there was even a map with coordinates that align with the seasons she took part in.
In addition, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Julie Chen Moonves pointed out that the Houseguest was a divisive figure, a statement that truly reflects the mixed feelings viewers had towards her during seasons 12 and 13.
Apart from everything else, ex-Houseguest and BB icon, Janelle Pierzina, shares a close bond with Rachel Reilly. However, despite their friendship, Janelle has had trouble reaching Rachel on the phone. She’s received texts from her, but she suspects she understands why Rachel isn’t picking up: Rachel might be avoiding phone calls for some reason.
Rachel typically calls me back when I reach out, but in this instance, she texted me saying she was at home. However, it made me ponder. Since Brenden is the one usually texting and he could be using a laptop to respond to her texts, it’s possible that Rachel wasn’t physically at home when she sent the message. The ‘B’ in the study stands for Brechel, her maiden name, while ‘V’ represents Viagas, her married surname. The map she shared was like an amazing race, full of challenges and surprises. As a cinephile, I must confess it seems rather fishy that the man who was once Rachel’s spouse and fellow Big Brother contestant, Brendon Villegas, could be sending messages pretending to be her. It certainly gives off the vibe of something a longtime moviegoer might suspect in a plot twist!

How To Watch Big Brother Season 27 Online And Stream Every Episode Free From Anywhere
It’s important to mention that when TopMob interviewed Rachel in 2021, she expressed her desire to participate in Big Brother once more. Some fans might recall that she had hoped to join Season 22’s All-Stars edition, but couldn’t due to being pregnant at the time. Now, it seems she’s back in the game, though we’re not sure for how long.
It’s being speculated that Rachel might not remain in the house for the entire duration of Big Brother Season 27, as some believe she could be “eliminated” or “murdered” within the game, contributing to the “mystery” aspect of the show. This theory is reminiscent of what happened last season when the series introduced Ainsley, a 17th Houseguest who was later revealed to be a paid actress, setting up the A.I. Arena twist.
Let’s find out if Joseph Abdin and the entire online community were correct when “Big Brother” Season 27 starts on CBS on Thursday, July 10th at 8:00 p.m. ET. I can hardly contain my excitement for this season to begin, so let’s cross our fingers for a thrilling premiere that sparks conversation!
