It’s quite appropriate for Game Science to be present at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20th, given that their game Black Myth: Wukong is launching on Xbox Series X/S around the same time. There’s a strong possibility that they might use this event to unveil the first DLC for their action RPG.
In addition to the latest announcement, they also unveiled some fresh artwork on Twitter featuring characters not originally included in the main game. These new adversaries appear menacingly formidable, and while their role within the narrative is yet to be revealed, they’re certain to provide engaging combat encounters.
Daniel Wu from Hero Games unveiled plans for new DLC content in September 2024, with his company providing a substantial portion of the project’s funding. Considering this announcement timeline, it’s quite possible that the DLC will be available for purchase as early as next year.
Keep an eye out for further information and developments on Opening Night Live, broadcast at 11 AM Pacific Daylight Time on August 19th. Additionally, you can explore more about the game Black Myth: Wukong, already accessible on PS5 and PC, by checking out our feature.
