NASA created a VR metaverse to prep astronauts for life on the lunar space station

Instead of “most of us” spending time in the metaverse for asset trading or virtual reality with legless avatars, consider saying: “Many people engage in metaverse activities such as trading assets or exploring in virtual reality with no legs. On the other hand, NASA and SpaceX astronauts are utilizing the metaverse to prepare for living on an as-yet-unbuilt lunar space station.”

According to NASA, the initial humans to live in deep space dwellings are expected to be the team responsible for managing the ongoing construction project named “Gateway,” which is a space station in development.

Ubisoft teases new blockchain game at Paris Blockchain Week

Ubisoft, a well-known AAA game developer, is getting nearer to launching its initial blockchain game. They recently unveiled the gameplay trailer for Champions Tactics Grimoria at Paris Blockchain Week as a first step.

At the gaming conference, the main creators of the strategic PvP (player-versus-player) role-playing game granted an exclusive preview to CryptoMoon. In this RPG, players have the ability to manufacture distinct blockchain figurines, each with individual traits. Three of these figurines can be assembled as a team for the subsequent turn-based battle.

Bored Ape NFT floor price hits lowest point in over two and a half years

The cost basis for BAYC NFTs on the floor, which is the minimum sale price, has dropped by nearly 90% from its all-time high to reach 11.1 Ether (ETH). This is the cheapest it has been since last summer.

The price of an NFT from Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is getting close to hitting the $9 mark on the Ethereum blockchain following a 50% decrease in value since March 1st, as reported by NFT Price Floor.

Starting from a high of 128 Ether for the NFT collection on May 1, 2022, its decrease in value reflects a broader trend of decreasing interest in digital art NFTs across the industry.

Despite some BAYC NFTs selling for higher than the collection’s floor price, it’s important to mention that this figure is determined by finding the cheapest NFT within the collection.

VeChain announces tokenized gloves in partnership with UFC

In a blog post dated April 12, VeChain announced that UFC fighters’ gloves would soon be converted into tokens, enabling the tracking of their identities on the VeChainThor blockchain.

During a fight, the gloves will be equipped with VeChain NFC chips for recording data, ensuring the authenticity of each pair. Later on, the athletes will gift or sell their used gloves, turning them into valuable collector’s items.

At UFC 300 on April 13, fighters started using gloves with embedded chips that enable buyers to verify an item’s authenticity through a smart contract on the VeChainThor network.
