The newest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has taken the current fight in a fascinating direction, hinting at the arrival of a potentially incredibly powerful new character. This is the third major attack the heroes have faced in the Boruto manga, and they’re still trying to figure out the nature of the Divine Tree creatures while defending themselves. This time, the threat has come directly to Konoha, led by the Divine Tree entity Mamushi, who can create an endless number of clones and commands a large army of villains.
The recent chapters have shown how incredibly powerful and dangerous Mamushi is. He can create countless clones and has a huge amount of chakra, pushing Konoha’s defenders to their breaking point. They desperately need a plan to defeat him, and it revolves around a carefully laid trap. Mamushi came to the village looking for Eida, intending to absorb her power, and Shikamaru has come up with a plan to use her as bait. The idea is to lure Mamushi into a fight, and when he tries to capture Eida, her incredibly strong brother, Daemon, will step in to protect her.
Boruto Will Finally Put Its Most Untouchable Character Into Action

Daemon is a cyborg similar to Eida, created by Amado from the remains of Shibai Otsutsuki, a being with incredible dojutsu. He gained Shibai’s unique ability to reflect anything back at its source, making him nearly invulnerable. This doesn’t just deflect attacks – it sends the force and even the intent behind them back to the attacker, meaning ninjutsu is ineffective as the user suffers the consequences. Beyond that, Daemon is incredibly strong, possibly even more powerful than Code or Jura. This makes him one of the most formidable characters currently featured in the Boruto series, and potentially the strongest of them all.
In the most recent chapter, “Shut Up,” Shikamaru proposes using Eida as a distraction, and Daemon immediately agrees, saying it’s what they should have done all along for a simple solution. He seems very confident he can easily defeat Mamushi and his clones. This suggests fans are finally going to see Daemon truly fight for the first time since he was introduced in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, and it’s clear he intends to win decisively. The upcoming fight should reveal just how powerful Daemon is and if he has any vulnerabilities.
