The latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex gives the main Uchiha character a role that Naruto never gave to Sasuke. In the original series, Sasuke was a unique kind of supporting character. Usually, these characters stick by the hero’s side and help throughout the story, but Sasuke immediately focused on his own ambitions. This made him more of a rival to the hero than a reliable friend.
Throughout the series, Sasuke rarely participates in team battles against shared enemies. His motivations are usually based on personal revenge, preventing him from effectively fighting alongside his teammates. Naruto consistently avoids portraying Sasuke as the one who ultimately defeats an enemy with the team. Now, it seems Sarada Uchiha will take on that crucial role, as the recent chapter strongly suggests she’s the key to defeating the current villain, Mamushi – if it wasn’t her father, Sasuke, who was meant to fulfill it.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Gives Sarada a Position Sasuke Never Had

In the latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, titled “Dancing with the Devil,” Shikamaru’s plan to trap Mamushi near Eida begins to work. The goal is to quickly defeat him by first reducing his many clones to under fifty. Once that’s done, Sarada Uchiha is supposed to use her powerful Ohirume technique to eliminate the rest. However, things don’t go as planned when Sarada uses the technique too soon and passes out, costing them the chance to win the battle right away.
This new turn of events makes things more difficult, but Sarada is still the only one who can truly defeat Mamushi, thanks to her unique ability. While the situation is now more intense, it also creates an opportunity for Sarada to develop as a character. Even as she loses consciousness, there’s a chance she’ll have a crucial realization or awakening, making her even stronger and able to handle more of Mamushi’s clones. Ultimately, this chapter shows that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is finally giving Sarada the attention she deserves – something Sasuke Uchiha never quite received in the original Naruto series.
